  I am extremely disappointed with my experience with this law office. I contacted them regarding my employment case and was told that if I received a Right to Sue letter from the EEOC, they would take my case. I followed through with the EEOC process, received my Right to Sue, and had all of my paperwork and documentation organized and ready. I then spoke with an attorney from the firm on the phone and provided the information they needed. After everything I had been told, I believed they would be moving forward with my case. Instead, I was left waiting with no communication. They ultimately did not take my case, but what bothered me the most was that no one had the courtesy to call me back and let me know what was going on or explain why they had changed their decision. When someone is dealing with an employment issue and an EEOC Right to Sue deadline, communication from a law firm is extremely important. I would have had much more respect for them if they had simply called me back and told me they were not going to take the case instead of leaving me waiting after previously telling me they would. Very disappointing experience, especially after I did everything they told me I needed to do.

  Ben Yormak is not only a truly nice guy but VERY good at what he does! He recently represented me in an FLSA case and we settled at mediation but I have no doubt in my mind that if we had not reached a settlement and instead gone to trial that the final outcome would have been favorable for us.   Firstly, I am not a litigious person. I wasn’t before this experience, and I’m still not. But when faced with what I believed was a severe injustice—not only to myself, but to taxpayers—litigation became the only path left. Going against the government is not an easy undertaking. Initially, I was consulting with a local firm that did not offer contingency representation for cases involving government entities. The prospect of moving forward pro se was daunting, but I seriously considered it. In hindsight, that would have been disastrous. Fortunately, I spoke with Ben Yormak. He quickly recognized the areas of the case that were provable, the issues that were arguable, and, more importantly, how the pieces fit together. This was a multifaceted case. Ben had the ability to cut through the noise and see the path forward with remarkable clarity. Interacting with his office was seamless and fluid. Communication was handled with the client experience in mind, and Ben explained the motions, strategy, and actions being taken at every stage of the process. I never felt as though the legal machinery was simply moving around me without explanation. After a lengthy process, the case ultimately went to mediation. Although I believed strongly in the merits of the case, mediation presented a practical opportunity for resolution. Having seen Ben advocate during mediation, I came away confident that I would have been equally comfortable proceeding to trial with him. Ben’s opening presentation reinforced that confidence. He handled it with precision, command, and style. His presence was extremely effective. The mediation took place over Zoom. On our side, it was Ben and me. In the other window were seven senior individuals representing the other side. Frankly, having that many people involved seemed counterintuitive to reaching an agreement; at times, it felt like the attorneys alone might have had an easier time getting to the point. And I have to include this because it captures the visual perfectly: when I looked at the Zoom screen, it was like looking into Neiman Marcus on Ben’s side and the JCPenney catalog in the other window. That may not be conventional legal-review language, but neither was the experience. I would recommend Yormak Law to anyone needing employment-law representation. Ben is highly effective, strategically sharp, accessible, and capable of navigating a complicated case without losing sight of the person sitting next to him. Highly effective—with a stylish twist.

  It’s hard for me to put into words how grateful I am to Ben and his team. When I was initially looking for the best lawyer to work with for my specific needs, it quickly became evident that this office was the most communicative and is very experienced in employment law. Dawn and Ben were just fantastic. They answered my questions very promptly; and the whole way through you could genuinely tell that Ben absolutely loves his work and loves helping his clients. His whole attitude and knowledge really helped put me at ease through a challenging situation I was in, and he helped me get to the finish line on getting it resolved. I am just so grateful to this team for helping me through one of the most challenging obstacles I’ve faced in my career. My case was a big deal to me, and I feel like I got justice, and I feel Ben did an amazing job with the case. Would recommend! It’s amazing to see someone talented, in action, that truly helps people. Ben should feel very fulfilled, I really think he is doing good work.
