Very disappointed with my experience at Lowe’s Outlet.
I purchased an LG refrigerator from Lowe’s Outlet about three weeks ago. The same day I brought it home, it started beeping as if the refrigerator door was open. I moved the door slightly and the beeping stopped, so I didn’t think much of it at first.
A few days later, the problem started again. This time, the refrigerator would not stop beeping. I checked all of the doors, inspected the seals, and made sure everything was properly closed, but the beeping continued.
I contacted the store, and I was told that unfortunately they could not do anything because the appliance only came with a 72-hour warranty. They gave me a 1-800 number for LG, so I contacted LG directly. LG sent a repair technician to my home twice, and after two visits, the refrigerator still has not been fixed.
At this point, I feel like I’m stuck with an expensive refrigerator that doesn’t work properly and constantly beeps. If I had known I was going to have this problem and receive this little support from the store, I would have never purchased the refrigerator from Lowe’s Outlet.
I understand that outlet appliances may have limited warranties, but 72 hours is simply not enough time to determine whether a major appliance has a hidden problem. An appliance can appear to work fine initially and develop an issue days later, which is exactly what happened to me.
I’m extremely disappointed with this purchase and with the lack of support I received from the store. I would strongly recommend that anyone buying an appliance from Lowe’s Outlet carefully consider the warranty terms before making a purchase. In my experience, once those 72 hours are over, you may be completely on your own.
