  First visit to this dealership and all was flawless. I chose Genesis of Escondido initially due to their helpful attitude over the phone. After a seamless one hour oil/2 filters, tires rotated and routine inspection was completed, I felt confident a great job had been done. Thanks to Iyshia, we have finally found our Genesis dealership home.

  A shout out to Alec and the Genesis Escondido service team. Alec helped me with a strange issue with my GV70, and in the end got everything done on time.

  Genesis of Escondido relies on textbook bait and switch tactics, lying by omission and manipulating numbers in fine print to confuse you. Our salesperson Erick seemed friendly but ultimately he was the good-cop, paper-pusher in their scheme. They had positioned themselves as a no-nonsense "high volume" store. It was an act. Over the course of two visits and five hours of waiting, they attempted two major financial deceptions. The trade-in shell game. On the phone, they agreed to honor a $6000 discount they had offered on our first visit to the store with a written out-the-door agreement. We made sure to confirm our agreement multiple times over the phone before we went in. Once we went in, we waited for hours for the paperwork. Erick even left to show a car to another customer while we were waiting. Sitting around for hours, then a sudden rush of docs being pushed on us without any explanation. We signed papers thinking the deal was done and paperwork was formality. We signed and signed, then we slowly realize the numbers had changed. The paperwork showed only a $2,500 discount. To make it look like $6,000, Sales Manager Lisa had quietly rolled our $4,000 trade-in equity into the discount column. When called out, she tried to confuse us into agreeing to the worse terms. Second deception was a $9,500 rebate on lease. We explicitly asked five separate times what our total cost would be if we did a lease-to-own and paid it off early. We verified repeatedly that the total price would be around $37,000. They said "yes" every single time. When the final contract was drawn up and we asked for clarification, the total price was suddenly $47,000. When we asked why, Lisa stated we are still responsible for all three years of interest, even if we buy out the lease immediately. She confidently stated, "finance always gets their money." (We researched this later. She was entirely wrong and maybe illegal in CA.) When we caught the manipulated $6000 discount and $10k in total discrepancy, stood up, and pointed out that they had drastically changed the agreed-upon terms without notifying us, Lisa had the nerve to berate us while Erick pouted like we were wasting his time. I'm certain they'll post some excuse or try to remove this review but this is my lived, exhausting experience and a warning to you. Check every single line of your contract if you go here, or better yet, take your business to a dealership that doesn't rely on 1990s sleaze to sell luxury cars. Don't fall for the bait and switch.

  ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ OUTSTANDING EXPERIENCE AT GENESIS OF ESCONDIDO! We just purchased a beautiful Genesis GV70, and I have to say, the entire experience at Genesis of Escondido was absolutely first class from beginning to end! A huge shout-out to Erick, our salesman, who was truly top-notch. He was professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely cared about making sure we got the right vehicle and had a great experience. No pressure, no games — just outstanding customer service! Lisa, the Manager, was fantastic as well. She went above and beyond to make sure everything came together smoothly and that we were completely satisfied with our purchase. And a special thank-you to Carlos in Finance. He made what can sometimes be the most stressful part of buying a car incredibly easy and straightforward. He was professional, helpful, and made sure we understood everything. The entire Genesis of Escondido team treated us like valued customers, and we couldn’t be happier with our beautiful GV70! 🚙✨ If you’re looking for a Genesis, do yourself a favor and ask for Erick, Lisa, and Carlos.   I really enjoyed my experience with this dealership. First of all, I got the best deal on the car that I wanted, and no other Genesis dealership would beat the price offered me by Genesis of Escondido. Everybody who I encountered was genuinely friendly and straight forward. I didn’t feel for a second being manipulated (as opposed to definitely having that negative experience at other dealerships). People who work there took a lot of time to explain everything to me in details about the car. They are very patient and knowledgeable. I highly recommend buying your car with them.
