We stayed one night at the Crowne Plaza Seattle Downtown as a stopover before catching the ferry to Victoria, BC, and it was a great choice. From the moment we arrived, check-in was smooth, friendly, and genuinely helpful — exactly what you want after a day of travel.
The hotel is immaculately clean throughout, and our room was no exception — well-maintained and comfortable. The highlight was our view: waking up to a stunning bay view with the Space Needle framed in the window was a real treat. Our only minor note was that the in-room coffee station could use more regular coffee pods, a small thing in the grand scheme!
The location is a real win — walkable to a great variety of restaurants, so finding dinner was effortless. For a one-night stay, especially if you're en route to the ferry terminal, this hotel ticks all the boxes: clean, well-located, and staffed by people who actually make you feel welcome. To catch the ferry it was a short Uber ride
Would definitely stay again on our next trip through Seattle.
Booked for a pre-cruise stay. It is conveniently located, walking diatance to the Pike Place Market and Pier 66. The room was okay and the furnishing or facility weren't the most up to date. What puts me off is the neighbourhood. There was always a waft of weed in the main entrance which I suspect was from a shelter next door. There is a green space off the bridge where my room was facing full of homeless and junkies all the times.
I had a good stay here. Few things that stood out: Amazing bar and restaurant on second floor (no view), great valet service, in the heart of downtown Seattle, fancy elevators that do not have buttons. Simply tap your key card on the device and it’ll take you where you need to go. Everything is new, modern and sleek. In the rooms, we wished we had better water pressure in the shower, a microwave and a better working TV because we couldn’t watch Netflix, TV guide wouldn’t pop up and if you press up and down on channel button, they were mostly sports or news. But our view from our hotel was nice, skyscraper hotels but we also had a view of the highway on the left side which was alright. Overall I liked the stay and the bar was the best part. Bartender had her special drinks which I tried and it was so delicious. I forgot the name (raspberry cream something??) but it was similar taste to a yakult drink and I could definitely feel the alcohol without tasting the alcohol.
We liked a lot of things about this hotel. The check in was very easy and all the staff were great. The rooms were large and very comfortable. Also the gym is large for a hotel and clean and tidy.
Our only complaint is about the tipping policy. We had some drinks and food in the bar. The hotel makes it clear that they add an 18% gratuity to the bill. That isn’t an issue for us as the service was very good. However when we were given the check I tapped my card and was given the normal choice of adding a 15% to 20% tip. Luckily I paused and looked very closely at the receipt and saw that they had already added 18% and were looking to add the same again.
It would be very very easy to miss the extra charge. Especially after a few drinks! I think the hotel needs to be much clearer that the service charge has already been paid and not try to add a further large amount in a way that does seem underhand.

This experience has brought back my faith in hotel hospitality. Eric greeted us upon check in and was so warm and charming-it really set the tone especially after a very long day of arduous travel (lots of frustrating delays). The rooms are modern and currently updated, fresh and clean with well appointed amenities. I especially appreciated the soft close pocket door to the restroom with the full length mirror. Every staff person we encountered was genuinely courteous. The breakfast buffet had many great options and fresh squeezed juices. The location is an easy walk to the pier. The front desk staff Cameron was so helpful in arranging cruise transportation at a much better rate than what’s typical and also offered practical tips while visiting. This visit has restored my faith in the hotel industry, reflecting a real spirit of hospitality.
