    I think it was a mistake for Chanel to have given up its space at the iconic Drake’s Hotel. However, its relocation to Oak Street afforded it a lot more space for offerings to the Midwest clientele. And for the Chicago tourism crowd. I have visited the new shop several times since its relocation. No matter what you will always find something at Chanel Chicago, now. I think the Midwest clientele was starved for lots more special fashion pieces. Although I believe the store isn’t necessarily iconic, it has followed through on the fashion offerings. Don’t be too serious either. It’s Chanel. Have fun and buy what you like if you have the coin. Life is short and only once. Dress like today is your last day and Chanel is the only place open. Chanel Chicago is the Chanel you go to because you want to be free and fun and sporty. A la glam.

    I came in to purchase a Chanel 25 bag the big size which I did successfully purchase, but while shopping in there, the experience was not good. I wasn’t offered any water coffee anything. The sales associate and the staff were rude when I approached one person to ask him if I can get a sales associate or if he can help me out, he aggressively responded. Oh, I only work in the fine jewelry section. You’re gonna have to wait. It seemed to me that they only treat people nice when you look like you got money. And I don’t dress to impress, I dress to be comfortable while walking around Chicago, they judged me the second I walked in. The overall experience was not nice. I did not feel like I was fully taken care of, even after I got a sales associate, they just seemed like I was wasting their time and they were dissatisfied with me and my wife ? but at the end, I am satisfied with my purchase. I would definitely not recommend coming here. Try a different channel.

    We stopped by on a particularly cold afternoon, shortly after spending time nearby. The contrast in experience was, in its own quiet way, rather instructive. As we approached, the door was closed in front of us—despite the boutique appearing calm, with only a few clients inside and no visible sense of urgency. A member of staff came forward and inquired about an appointment. We were then advised to register and wait outside for approximately fifteen minutes. One understands that certain houses adopt such practices. It is, after all, a matter of preference. Still, it is worth noting that the most established maisons rarely require visible gestures to convey their standing. Ease, discretion, and an intuitive sense of recognition tend to suffice. When these elements are absent, what remains can feel less like refinement, and more like performance. No inconvenience was caused. We simply chose to leave. One grows accustomed, over time, to environments where consideration is instinctive rather than conditional. This was not one of them.
