I was one of the first paying customers David Yurman at The Americana had — going all the way back to its original location here some years ago before it relocated to the other side of the property. In that time, I’ve bought many pieces of men’s jewelry for myself, and women’s gifts for others. I’ve also spent at least $10,000+ in jewelry at their location at The Grove. I went to this location today just to get one of my old Yurman cuffs cleaned, and it was one of the most subpar and uncomfortable experiences I have ever had and I will not be going back to give my business. For perspective, just a few weeks ago I went to the location at The Grove and asked them to polish one of my daughter’s necklaces. They smiled, took the piece, and offered me to sit and offered me sparkling or still water, as they always do. I have never one time in the many times over many years ever been asked while going in just for jewelry cleaning for my account information. However at this location today, the woman with dark hair working on 08/25/26 at around 2:00pm, upon asking her to polish my cuff, was so immediately rude, did not offer me water or to sit, and walked away almost as if she was annoyed. While it was getting cleaned, she made no conversation with me. Mind you, I was the ONLY person in the store. While I was seating myself, from across the other side of the room, she started to ask me for my account information. Why not take the time to approach me closer? At that point, others had walked in, and everyone was listening to her question me on why my number wasn’t pulling up my account with a total attitude. I gave her my American number and my French number, but she couldn’t find my account. Again, I have never once been asked for my account just for jewelry cleaning. I told her I didn’t know why it wasn’t pulling up, and instead of just letting it go and being hospitable — she started to lecture me on how they “will not polish jewelry again without account”. I was honestly shocked she was saying this to me so loud, across the counter, while others were there and while I was with a woman. It was embarrassing. I’ll say again, I have spent an absurd amount of money supporting Yurman but this woman clearly wanted to take out her attitude of the day on me. I will guarantee few people have spent as much money as I have at a Yurman store. I JUST bought my daughter a necklace from The Grove location a few weeks ago. Why my account wasn’t pulling up is beyond me but it’s also not the point. I own restaurants. Hospitality is what I do. I also know some people exaggerate a service workers attitude towards them, and I am not that way. I don’t look for it. But this workers attitude was so obvious that I am leaving one of the first ever business reviews (positive or negative) in my entire life — because it was that bad. You can’t teach someone to be nice, and I will ask for this store to let go of this employee before I ever go back and support it because of how poor the experience was. I can’t even tell you how many friends I’ve sent to this location to also buy jewelry. To be treated this way today, all that said, was extremely disappointing.
I had an absolutely amazing experience at David Yurman thanks to Monica and the manager, Lilit. From the moment I walked in, they created such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Both of them were incredibly kind, supportive, and genuinely invested in helping me with my needs. Monica was patient, thoughtful, and attentive throughout the entire process, and Lilit went above and beyond to make sure everything felt seamless and enjoyable. Their professionalism paired with their friendly approach made my visit truly outstanding. I left feeling excited and grateful for the exceptional service I received. If you’re visiting David Yurman, I highly recommend asking for Monica and Lilit because they’re amazing!!!!
