The Intercontinental is my go-to hotel in Toronto. The service upon check in to check out is top notch. David is one of the best people you can have to take care of you at check-in; he gives you many tips, ideas for experiences, and even shares his own experiences (you can't get better). Even more important- when you come back, he greets you with the same welcoming smile. I truly appreciate him (cheers!).
Onto the rooms: absolutely fabulous: they are clean, the beds and pillows are very comfortable, there is space to work if you have to (with hi-speed wifi), and chairs for relaxation. Also, the windows are floor to ceiling and views tend to be nice because of the location (near everything).
Additionally, the hotel has Club offerings, gym, spa, restaurant, and room service - while I haven't used these services when I have the time in future visits, I will.
I highly recommend considering (and booking) the Intercontinental.
They charge a $25 service fee for some services that are already listed as included in the booking, and it includes 2 bottles of water you can get from Dollarama. We asked for more water at the front desk and they acted like it asking for gold, a bottle of water. The hot tub was out of order and the outdoor terrace was closed for renovations, even though we could see it from our room and it was setup and no work was being done. The staff on the club floor seemed unaware of the closure as they directed us to go enjoy it. I feel since the listed amenities were not available they should not be charging a fake $25 fee for other services already paid for.

Had a fantastic stay here this week! Victoria was super kind and accommodating, always making sure we stayed stocked on everything we need. I didn’t know the rooms have down bedding by default, and she happily swapped everything to feather-free for me and added it to our notes for future stays. While she was working, I asked her for recommendations for the area since it was my first time in Canada, let alone Toronto, and she provided a full list of places to visit and eat and shop. She really made the entire trip more exciting and while everyone was very kind and attentive, she stood out.
I would like to recognize Paul at the front desk for providing truly outstanding customer service.
From the moment we arrived, Paul noticed us from quite a distance away and immediately welcomed us with a genuine smile and warm greeting. His friendliness, professionalism, and attention to detail made us feel valued and appreciated before we even reached the desk.
Paul was beyond cordial throughout our interaction. He was personable, engaging, and went above and beyond to ensure we felt comfortable and well taken care of. In an industry where first impressions matter, Paul set the tone for an exceptional stay.
Thank you, Paul, for your outstanding hospitality and for making our experience such a positive one. You are a tremendous asset to the hotel, and your dedication to guest service does not go unnoticed.
Stayed two nights. Room was nice, view was nice but for some reason, they never serviced my room after the first night. I was more concerned because I never got replenished water bottles, which I was told would be done every day. I called front desk, they never offered me any explanation of why my room wasn’t service, but they eventually brought two bottles of water for me. Also would highly recommend they provide more signage in the parking garage as to where to access the hotel. After a little bit of searching found a stairwell sign noting it was on the sixth level. But once you’re on the sixth level, there’s no signage indicating which way to exit. Signage makes you believe it is the same exit as the CN tower, which it is not. I ended up a block away and had to lug my luggage, quite a distance to get to the hotel lobby. A simple sign could’ve saved me a lot of hassle. Once I arrived at check-in, there were two people working the counter. Both had customers and after one customer was finally checked in I walked up to the counter and the guy said to give him two minutes and he walked away never to return. After waiting almost 10 minutes the concierge who had been watching the whole scenario, eventually motioned over to another lady who took me over at a side desk to check me in. Not the greatest reception for my first time at this hotel….. however I do appreciate the concierge who noticed my lack of service and took some corrective action. all in all could’ve been a great experience, but a few missteps made this not the best bang for my buck.
