We were quoted $800 for a short medical stay, which they dropped to $500 when we hesitated (we paid $220 last time). We strictly needed to be near VGH, and the agent promised us this location was 4 minutes away. Turns out, they booked us at their location near St. Paul's instead. We cancelled and looked elsewhere but there was no where else available due to events going on in Vancouver. Not what we needed during an already stressful time. We will not be returning and will be looking elsewhere next time.

We celebrated our 1st birthday of my son here and we got a terrible experience for the service and the food that they serve. However we checked in here as well and houskeeping did a great job. Room price is just too pricey.

They insisted on payment upfront with multiple lines of signatures and initials! Once we saw the room, we understood why. The bathtub is ancient, shampoo and soaps were discount (not even bar soap!). Freezing cold room on entry that took 2-3 hours to heat up to a comfortable temperature. Soundproofing was terrible. Could hear everything from the room next-door. Bed ok. Staff were ok. $2000 for three nights didn’t even include parking! We will never stay here again and likely never at another Holiday Inn. We used to trust the Holiday Inn, but we don’t anymore.

We came down on an emergency medical with our 5 year old.. half that time we were back and forth between the hospital everyday, then the second part of her treatment was outpatient at the hotel. Even with all the hiccups through our patient travel coverage, the staff at Holiday Inn W Broadway were soooo kind and patient. They never made us feel like we were going to be stuck in a pickle. Even when everything was so hectic, they maintained the hospitality and kindness. This truly helped us get through one of the scariest times in our lives as parents and we’re so so thankful to everyone here at West Broadway Holiday Inn. Especially to JUSTIN! Thank you thank you thank you!

Never again.
After reading other guests reviews I’m thinking we stayed in a different hotel!
We paid full rate for a 5 night stay, on check-in I asked were we high up, not in a small room. The answer to both was YES. We were in room 724 which is actually the second lowest residential floor and you can see from the map at the lift this is one of the smallest hotel rooms. Ah well.
In our room we fancied a glass of wine, but room service does not extend to drinks only. Hence my husband went to the bar, was given a huge tray, but the lift control requires two hands, one to tap your keycard and the other for the floor. Unfortunately both glasses of wine ended on the floor. Covered in spilt wine He went to reception to explain, whereupon they said” Thankyou we will get it cleaned” Ah well!! After the second night our room was not serviced. Ah well!!!
After the third night it was not serviced again- when we asked at reception, we were told that we had said not necessary- incorrect, we weren’t ready and asked them to come back. Reception sent up a toilet roll and box of tissues. Ah well.!!!!
On checking out we were charged $30 for the glasses of wine, we thought we had paid cash , but had no proof. Ah well!!!!!.
The room decor is brown and outdated, no usb charging points etc. basic tv. Hotel needs an update.
