  I walked in without an appointment today to browse, but I already knew what I wanted to buy. The hostess advised me to check back in if there was something I wished to get a closer look at. When I was ready, I checked in with her. She told me it might be a minute before an associate was available. No problem! I stood to the side and waited patiently. The first salesperson (Asian woman) came forward stood behind the hostess a few minutes & then walked away. Then the second salesperson (white woman) cane forward and confirmed the other two customers were checked & said nothing to me. A third salesperson (white man) came forward & still no one said anything to me. The security guard watched it all. It was clear they weren’t interested in providing me any level of customer service or me making a purchase. No choice but to assume they’re racist!!

  Sophia is the reason I keep coming back to Van Cleef & Arpels. From our very first interaction, it was clear she genuinely cares about finding the right piece for her client. Her knowledge of the Maison is exceptional as she speaks about the history, craftsmanship, and design philosophy with a passion that makes every visit feel like more than a transaction. After I left Boston and when I came back to visit, she was the only person I wanted to see - and VCA was the only store I wanted to walk into.

  I had a very disappointing experience at the Van Cleef & Arpels Boston boutique today. I walked in without an appointment and asked whether walk-ins were being accommodated. I was told there would be approximately a 15-minute wait, which I completely understood given the upcoming price increases and the store being busy. My fiancé and I were offered chocolates while we waited, which I appreciated. However, after waiting 40 minutes, no sales associate had attended to us. What was particularly frustrating was seeing a couple who entered after us being assisted before we were ever acknowledged again. As a long-term VCA customer, this experience was extremely disappointing. While I understand boutiques can be busy, transparency and fairness in managing client flow are important. If the wait was going to be significantly longer, that should have been communicated. Ultimately, we chose to leave and made our engagement jewelry purchases elsewhere that same afternoon at Cartier and Bvlgari. I’m not ruling out future purchases from VCA, but I would hesitate to return to the Boston location based on this experience.

  Great service from Tarcisio today when I was looking for a bracelet to complete a set for my wife. The store has posted that visits are by appointment, but after scanning the QR code to see if I could get a same day, security let me in. Tarcisio was very friendly and knowledgeable, confirmed the item I was looking for needed to be special ordered, and handle the entire transaction quickly. Given I’m from out of town and we don’t have a local VCA boutique, he even offered to be my point of contact for future sales by phone. Wonderful experience.
