The room was pleasant, and the service was exceptional. It was my birthday weekend, and the manager informed us that they were fully booked. However, she took the time to rearrange some reservations to accommodate us upon our arrival.
The room was clean and in a great location, and the hospitality from the staff was commendable. The only issue we encountered was the presence of ticks, which appeared to be coming up through the drain; we spotted about three or four in our room.
We reported this to the front desk, and they provided us with new sheets. The following day, the housekeeper came in to vacuum, and they offered us another room.
However, I declined, reasoning that if the ticks were in the drain, they were likely in the plumbing, meaning any room we moved to could have the same problem, or potentially worse. We stayed for three days.
Personally, I did not partake in the breakfast, as I am a southern girl who prefers home-cooked meals, so I am not keen on dining out. My husband, however, mentioned that the breakfast was satisfactory.
I appreciate the kindness shown in rearranging things to ensure we had a room for my three-day birthday weekend. If they can eliminate the ticks by bringing in an exterminator, this would likely become my go-to place whenever I visit Siren, WI.
I am a License Real Estate Agent, in Minnesota, and I base my business on honesty and trust, therefore, I mention this concern because I would not want families with small children to stay there, as they might have their kids crawling on the carpet and risk getting a tick on them.
Outside, the tick issue, the overall stall was great and the staff and manager were incredibly friendly!
