  The best thing was the customer service from Bryant, Bradford and Brandon. A solid crew. They are attentive to any needs we asked for. My husband and I have stayed here twice recently and each time was for a week. We are in the middle of a move and find this place to be peaceful and so nice to have a river view room and be able to walk along the river. The people on the docks who have boats are friendly.Great views of Mt Hood and there are wild bunnies. A walk to the Puffin Cafe is nice too. Unfortunately it is next to a freeway where there is car pollution and also a huge mile long apartment building construction site right next door. That is going to ruin the area. The breakfast gets boring each day, should change it up and add more fresh healthier options like fruit salads, cottage cheese or yogurts, vegetarian options and real eggs not powdered. The maids could do a better job, there are some areas that need cleaning, the floors always get dirt on my husbands white socks and I so wanted to take a bath but there was pink around the rim...pink is usually mold/mildew. Unfortunately after this second time we will not be back as the last two nights we smelled cigarettes all night. Had to call up one of the front desk guys Sam he came up the first night and he too smelled the hall fill up with cannabis. I will have to seek other non smoking hotels that actually enforce the policy and fine these people. I have serious respiratory health issues plus it burns my eyes. It really put a damper on the visit this time, especially when we are spending over a grand each visit. Personally this was the main reason we booked here was to get away from cigarettes and breathe clean air but had I known that, I could have just gone back home early and deal with my heavy smoker neighbors and save a couple hundred bucks.

  Have to tell you that the Best Western here was amazing! Great location, near the river and other cities. Service was awesome! I will be back!

  Comfortable, clean, and spacious rooms. Very friendly and professional staff. We'll be going to an event at the Black Pearl, so the location could not be better. The only thing that would be better is if the lamps on the nightstands had outlets.
