  Nice welcome at reception with snacks and drinks. A bit noisy for sleeping, including noises that just come with the location such as trains and others such as neighbors and a very noisy air conditioning. The green lights on the fire alarms are very bright above the beds that impede deep sleep. Breakfast room small for the number of guests. Overall nice hotel.

  Very friendly staff. Easy check in and out. Clean rooms, free breakfast with many choices, hot & cold. Lots of parking. Close to waterfront and beach. Also close to downtown shops and restaurants.

  I was really disappointed with this hotel. I’m a BW Plus member. We had just come from a BW Plus hotel in Revelstoke that exceeded our expectations in terms of quality and service and thought this one would be similar. It was not. Very dated rooms, rundown atmosphere. It did not feel clean. Also, when we entered our room, it smelled like urine and we couldn’t figure out why and eventually realized it was the air-conditioning unit that was making this smell - probably dusty and hadn’t been cleaned for a while? We had to turn the AC off. Also, we were in a room with a connecting door to another room. While there was a basic lock on the connecting door, there wasn’t a deadbolt or anything like that so it didn’t feel quite as safe as I would like it. I wouldn’t have minded if the hotel had been in something like $200 a night, but it was almost $350 so I would not recommend this hotel at all for the price. Location is decent near ferry terminal and brackets landing but that’s it. I would have brought these issues to the attention of the front desk staff, but they were quite standoffish when I checked in, so I was not inclined to do that.

  Excellent location, walkable to where we were having a 70th birthday party (Scratch Distillery). Super clean rooms with solid wi-fi service, a good breakfast and various goodie bags they handed out to guests (chocolate chip cookies!), and a very friendly staff. Would definitely stay here again on a return trip to Edmonds.

  Overall Summary: This hotel was exactly what I needed for my trip: a clean, safe, affordable place to stay with friendly service, convenient parking, and a surprisingly great breakfast. It is not a luxury or newly renovated property, but it was comfortable, reliable, and met my priorities as a solo traveler. Highlights: Finding the hotel was fairly easy, although Google Maps directed me toward the back of the property, so I stopped at the front desk to confirm where I should park. The staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and helpful throughout my stay. As a loyalty member, I was pleasantly surprised to receive a small welcome goodie bag with snacks and water, which was a thoughtful and appreciated gesture. The hotel was clean, had plenty of free onsite parking, and I felt comfortable keeping my car there. As a solo woman of color traveler on this trip, I personally felt safe walking around the area and appreciated that several restaurants were within about a 3–10 minute walk. The complimentary breakfast was honestly one of the best I've had at a hotel. I loved the thoughtful additions, like bell peppers, and I appreciated that they offered single-serving almond milk, which felt like a considerate option for guests with different dietary preferences. The location was also a major plus! It was about an 11-minute walk to my whale watching tour, which was one of my favorite activities during the trip. Constructive Observations: This is a more standard hotel rather than a modern or upscale property. The furniture and room décor are somewhat dated, and some pieces showed their age (including a few squeaky furniture items). The aesthetic was simple and functional rather than a highlight. The water pressure also varied a bit during my stay, although it was still usable. My room was a standard first-floor room with one bed. The space was clean and comfortable, with the sink located outside the bathroom area, which included the shower/tub and toilet. The closet space was limited, but the bed was comfortable enough for a good night's rest. Helpful Tips for Future Travelers: I think this hotel is best suited for travelers who prioritize cleanliness, location, safety, parking, and value over having a newly renovated space. It would likely work well for solo travelers, families, and travelers looking for a practical home base while exploring the area. Final Recommendation: Overall, this hotel delivered what I needed: a clean room, safe parking, kind staff, a convenient location, and an excellent breakfast. While the property may feel dated in some areas, the service and overall experience made up for it. I would happily consider staying here again when looking for a comfortable and affordable option.
