Everything in the hotel is in good shape, check in was easy, I would have zero issues staying here again.
The problem: The TV in my room is set to "Headphones" as the audio output. I have no headphones with me, and if I did I wouldn't want to plug them in to watch TV. The TV settings are locked to not allow guests to adjust audio output. I discovered this when I arrived in my room with dinner after a long day of work, expecting to sit down, eat and watch (and listen to...) some World Cup entertainment. I called the front desk for assistance, no answer, left a voicemail. No response after about an hour, called again, no answer again. Visited the desk, nobody there. Rang the bell, no response.
Great place to stay. We stayed in the King Room. It had a refrigerator, coffee maker, nice sized tv, and couch. Tub was a bit slippery like others have said. We did not hear any noise overnight. Customer service was friendly and helpful. One of the best Hotels we have stayed at in a while.

The room and common areas were spotless, the grounds are very well maintained, and the staff was wonderful, especially Crystal.
Spacious room, everything is very clean and new. The room has everything a traveler needs: a coffee maker, a fridge with a freezer, a microwave, an iron with an ironing board, and a hair dryer. It was chilly outside, and I liked that you could open the window to air out the room. The breakfast was filling, and the coffee was delicious. The coffee machine is available 24/7.
The staff is very attentive and friendly.
The distance to Palo Duro Canyon is 1 hour and 17 minutes, and it's 35 minutes to Amarillo. There are three interesting historical sites nearby, including the Goodnight Ranch museum and a section of Historic Route 66.

Drove 10 hours overnight with my family. Arrived at 7am was willing to pay extra and front desk lady gave us a hard no possibility. Because they have a rule? they wouldn't check us into a room because check in is at 3... kinda weird. We would've paid extra to get a room.. very poor business management when the parking lot is empty and there's 4 front desk people...there were multiple guests checking out when we arrived... we would've even waited.. I wouldn't recommend.. it's a waste of time. Go to the motel down the street. Very nice. Better prices too. No check in time.
Edit: I cannot reply so I'm editing my review. The front desk people were unaware of the cleanliness of a room even available. No. They taunted us with "check in...?" .."Check.. in?" She rolled her eyes at my fiancé and was completely unprofessional. The gaslighting response just denying the problems is why we will never stay here, even if it was the last hotel on Earth. Customer respect and satisfaction is everything. She could have said no check ins at 3.. but she didn't. She was rude. Straight up. And coy. And it wasn't professional. Made us feel bad even asking for a room? I mean come on. The response you gave is disgusting and gaslighting to people already upset with this crumby hotel. Reading other reviews. we are glad we didn't have to stay here. Bedbugs roaches and the like cover this reviews pages wall. And the hotels walls.
Your front desk lady was rude. She needs an attitude change or at least honesty that she has no idea if there even are available rooms. Then using check in time as a stonewalling tactic after being rude didn't work. She literally said "I don't know if any rooms are clean" before telling us we couldn't possibly check in. I get it. Check ins later in the day? We didn't have a reservation. But she was rude and totally out of line. Get a clue lady.
