It pains me to give this review, because with the exception of the rude employee running the breakfast bar, the staff and the facility are exceptional and go above and beyond for their guests.
As a guest, you shouldn't be reprimanded for using the same utensil to pick up bacon and ham in the same container and a sausage link in the adjoining container in the same chaffing dish. All were pork products, all were in the same chaffing dish, and 2 of the products were in the same container.
When I told her perhaps she should put up a sign stating guests are required to use appropriately assigned utensils and that I didn't create cross contamination, considering she had ham and bacon in the same container, she took offense.
A number of guests used the same utensil for what was in that dish.
Apparently this woman felt the same way about using the same utensil for the container of individual eggs in one side of a chaffing dish and a container of individual omelets in another.
But to repremand a guest for breaking a biscuit in half, using the appropriate utensil, and advising that wasn't acceptable is above and beyond rude.
Personally, I'd rather take half a biscuit at a breakfast bar than take a whole one and throw away food because it was too much.
This woman also reprimanded a guest for filling a separate plate in addition to the one he was eating from with what she considered was too much and asked the man if he would be eating it or wasting it!
No guest should have to explain they prepared a plate for their spouse and child, who did eventually join him.
There is no sign displayed saying their is a limit on breakfast per guest.
Guests pay for this service as part of their room, and being monitored and lectured about cross contamination that didn't exist is the last thing any guest needs.
This woman was rude and monitoring guests for no valid reasons on both days we were there.
I hate to think what might have been said had I decided to take my breakfast to my room to enjoy breakfast in bed!
Being clean and conscientious is one thing, ruining guest experience by being rude and monitoring their plates and portions is uncalled for!
This seems minor, but the reality is, these are the experiences guests remember and share.

I stayed here earlier this week on my drive from the Midwest back to the east coast. I wish I had found this hotel sooner since I've been doing that drive since 2020 and would've stayed here each time. Typically, the photos of the rooms advertised don't look like the actual room you get, but this hotel's photos were accurate. My room had wood floors (not carpeting) and was very clean, beyond my expectations especially compared to what I've encountered in other hotels along this route. Frank, at the front desk, was courteous, friendly and funny, a breath of fresh air after a very long drive. I can't speak to the breakfast since I checked out before that. For the price, you won't do much better...highly recommend!

Everything so far seems fantastic! The room is very clean and nice. The front desk has been super friendly. Each person I have spoken to. So far, so good!
