RECCOMENDED! What a pleasant stay at this Best Western branded property on EWR grounds. I checked in for a single night, May 7th, after landing at EWR airport. After a quick call, front desk dispatched shuttle, the ride to hotel from P3 - (NEW) courtesy shuttle stop is about 11 min. When returning, at driver discretion, you can request a terminal stop.
The shuttle driver was friendly, upbeat, and helpful (Perhaps Colombian fellow? How impolite of me to forget...). The curb appeal of this property, is where points are lost. Situated in a sea of parking lots, its very inaccessible and a bit odd for tourists not farmilar with American style urban planning. There is restricted predsteian access, with the shuttle required to enter and exit. But dont worry once checked in, the newly renovated 6 floor hotel has so much to offer!
My hotel room was on 3rd floor, far from the chimes of a busy elevator. The corridors are well air conditioned, as was my room. The restroom was spotless, with large shower/tub, porcelain toilet and vanity. Excellent lighting and fragrant toiliertires! Try the lotion, its thick and rich - left my skin gleaming. The queen bed made for a rejuvenating sleep. In room, artwork, and exterior sink were both welcomed additions.
The views well they- aren't very desirable. More of function over fashion. Remember, this hotel primarily serves airport passengers, flight crew, or airline arranged lodging. Onsite restaurant and bar available, but I didn't visit. Oddly, I suggest, catching shuttle to EWR and grabbing a bite in the terminal! Overall, I pleased with everything from front desk check in/out, propery cleanliness, staff courtesy, value, and safety. Consider Aiden by Best Western, Newark Airport for your next overnight stay.
