  My wife, 16-year old daughter, and myself stayed here for a mini-vacay. The view from the room is spectacular, right on Lake Superior. It is within walking distance of all the happenings around town. You walk out the door directly on the beach. The view of Artist's point is awesome! We loved it! This is our second time staying here. The breakfast is great and the food, beer, and wine from the kitchen is excellent.

  We have been vacationing at Superior Inn at least once a year for almost 20 years. The location is unbeatable. The owners are great. Staff always friendly and smiling and helpful. It can be a bit spendy in the summer months but you absolutely get what you pay for

  Hey i want to thank you guys for what you have done for us. We are guests with injuries. Husband is a big man with frozen left shoulder needing a thick special cusion to support his shoulder while sleeping. Because of the cushion, I get pushed out of the queen bed if i share space with my husband. We need a king bed at home. And if the bed situation is not good, I don't travel with him at all. I came back with sprained back. Whenever we travel we ask for a KING bed with a sofa bed for the kid - a tall and chubby teenage boy. So thus time we came again to this hotel we asked for a king bed and a sofa bed for the kid. All rooms with king beds with a sofa bed were sold out this late summer season. We asked for a roll in bed - not available. We were thinking of how to get my sprained back laid on the hotel floor with proper support and not pushed out of the bed by big men or boy at night. So the owner came and she opened a suite so we have 2 queen beds AND sofa bed for the boy. The view isn't good as it's facing the co-op but the bed arrangement let us sleep and take care of our injuries. It costs $60 more but the owner doesn't charge us extra. They really do make sure we are comfortable here. The staff was apologetic though it wasn't his fault...more of the booking site issue. Thanks guys. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

  Stayed one night at this hotel with my family. Hotel is in a nice walkable location downtown. It’s also right on the water and has great views of the lake. It was nice sitting on the balcony in the late afternoon. The lodge-like lounge is a wonderful area to hangout with relaxing music. It would be a particularly nice spot in the winter if the fire place is lite. Prices in summer are expensive.

  This room had everything that I look for in a room. It was very comfortable. The bed was very comfortable and the linens were clean. There were the usual amenities : hair dryer, iron, ironing board, 2 luggage racks, mini frig, microwave, keurig-type coffee pot. The bathroom was clean. The shower was large and very clean and non-slippery and it had a ceiling showerhead as well as a handheld shower wand. The floor in the bathroom and the entryway were not icy cold tile. It was a vinyl material that didn’t chill my feet at all. The water was nice and warm and the water pressure was good. There’s a sofa and a fireplace and adequate lighting. There is heating and cooling. There are two televisions. Next to the bed is a little alcove with a little round table and seating. The carpet was vacuumed well. There is a balcony overlooking Lake Superior and the balcony has two chairs.. The decorating is not particularly beautiful, but more than adequate for a comfortable room. No daily house cleaning, but it is available at request. The front staff of the hotel were quite friendly and helpful. The side entrance doors were always locked and we felt safe here. There are a few clothes for sale in the lobby. There is a breakfast room and the food was fair. There is a little bar in the lobby which is open in the evening and there is a nice sitting area. The location is within an easy walking distance of the Grand Marais downtown area. It is very close to the entrance to the Gunflint Trail. We were in building A. This was far more comfortable and clean and functional than our so called luxury rooms elsewhere.
