My boyfriend took me on a spur of the moment weekend road trip and this place was overpriced, the guy that was at the desk when we got there told us there were no other hotels in town when we questioned the high price compared to what it said online, after checking in we went to get food and as we drove around we saw 3 other hotels and found out the next day from a member of the staff that Best Western owns the one next door and it is cheaper. The pool hours said it was open until 10:30pm but it was already covered and closed when we got there at 8pm.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. There was adequate space at the desk for my computer and the office chair didn't sag like so many do at other hotels. I parked my car in the stall in front of my room, which was very convenient. If I am ever in Cheboygan again, I will stay at this hotel.

Breakfast was definitely the high point of the stay. The breakfast area was very clean and the food was great. Our room however was another story. Everything in the room was old, worn and had years of dirt on it. The thermostat was unreadable, making it a guess to where it was set. Surprisingly the bed was comfortable. The coffee maker and supplies was in the bathroom, I'm sorry, but that is gross! And more than likely against a few health codes. The lady at check in was pleasant and helpful, the check out clerk was fairly rude. I asked for my receipt by e-mail and she rolled her eyes and said if I had an email on file she would. I'm a rewards member, my email is on file, she did not send it. I would not stay at this location again. The price was too high for the accommodations we received.

I just want to say thank you for giving us a really great experience of peaceful relaxation. It was so relaxing here. I slept so good I walked the Mackinac Bridge without and stops or being super tired. The hot tub is a MUST if you come here the breakfast is delicious. Nice variety. The room was very relaxing we got to watch boats pass by amd wave so friendly here. Thank you I Definitely will stay here again if I am ever up in this area again. Walking distance to food and I believe I saw a Walmart ckos by also. The floor for me wasnt one of those floor you have to walk super super slow and careful after getting out the pool STILL TAKE PRECAUTIONS but it wasnt slippery like most motel floors . We did run out of conditioner in the shower but small things happen like this no biggie. I definitely give this place 5 STARS Trying to post pics but my Google app isnt allowing me to for some reason but very nice and relaxing motel was no loud people out and about was SO RELAXING AND PEACEFUL.....
