This place is atrocious. It is more like a truck stop. When we checked in our door would not close and I witnessed the general manager purchasing narcotics from someone in the parking lot. We wanted a refund as we did not feel safe and contacted the owner Karen Ejorn and her husband Friday Obaseime via the front desk and she proceeded to curse the staff member out and berate her and said “I will not give them their money back and you do too much I do not pay you to be nice to the customer I pay you to do your job!” Please do not go here this place is full of drugs, trucks so there was no place to park and I genuinely did not feel safe. I wish there was a zero rating for this establishment…the pictures are deceptively!
The hotel could use an update and better amenities.
Pros: It is less than 5 minutes from convenient local businesses. The rooms are as clean as they can get in an old hotel and the beds are comfortable. They offer a good standard checkout time, along with the option to pay $25 for an extended 1:00 PM checkout. The staff were also very courteous and the parking is gated.
Cons: The room felt dated, and the partition door was not locked when we entered.
There were only 3 bath towels provided for a room booked for 4 people, so thankfully we brought extras. Additionally, housekeeping knocked on our door early to ask if we wanted service, even though standard checkout wasn't until 11:00 AM.
I would only recommend this property if you just need a quick pit stop for the night and have no other options. At $250 a night, it is simply too expensive for what it offers.

Recently stayed here with my family. There were problems right from check in, we were locked out of the hotel for over 40 minutes and were unable to locate any staff. Numerous attempts were made to call staff and then even corporate which lead to nothing. Finally got checked into our room which had ripped bedsheets, stained pillow cases and no working outlets. Our son had walked around on the floor of our room for 5-10 minutes and his feet were completely black. We decided we’d take it up with staff the following day as it was late. When we returned the next day after going out, our room key didn’t work and after waiting another 40 minutes to get into our room we were able to locate the same staff from check in. The staff member stated there wasn’t much she could do and that we could talk to her manager. We left our name and number for the manager who we were told was coming in at midnight that night and asked if they could call us. The following day went by and we didn’t receive a phone call from the manager so we decided to call again and were told the same story that the manager had just left and that they were coming back at midnight, so we left our name and number again and asked for them to call us. Another day went by and we didn’t get a phone call from them. If I could give them 0 stars I would. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!
I am highly disappointed with my experience at Best Western Salisbury Plaza on June 13, 2026.
My children and I arrived to check in at approximately 7:00 PM. There was only one staff member working the front desk and checking in guests. We waited in line for about 30 minutes before being assisted.
After finally checking in, we were assigned Room 234. When we opened the door, we discovered that the room was already occupied by another guest. I returned to the front desk to report the issue and had to wait another 25 minutes before being assigned a different room, Room 204.
Unfortunately, the problems continued. Upon entering the second room, we immediately heard the fire alarm chirping and announcing a low battery warning. We also noticed that the towels appeared to have been used, and the telephone was completely disconnected and not functioning.
I went back downstairs to report these issues. The front desk employee was polite but clearly overwhelmed, as she was the only staff member on duty. She came to inspect the room and informed me that she did not know how to fix the fire alarm, that no manager was on-site, and that there was no maintenance staff available. When I requested another room, I was told the hotel was fully booked.
The constant chirping from the fire alarm was unbearable, and it was obvious that neither my children nor I would be able to sleep in those conditions. We made the decision to leave the hotel and return the room keys.
When I asked about a refund, I was told that the employee did not know the hotel's refund policy and that only the manager could address the issue. After spending nearly two hours dealing with check-in problems, room issues, and the lack of available assistance, we left without ever staying in the room.
This experience was unacceptable. A room should never be assigned if it is already occupied, and basic safety equipment such as fire alarms should be properly maintained. The lack of management support, maintenance assistance, and clear customer service procedures was extremely frustrating.
I am disgusted and deeply disappointed by the way this situation was handled and would not recommend this hotel based on my experience.
Place is a glorified MOTEL! Awful location, dirty room and unsafe atmosphere. Similar to the last review, pictures posted are VERY deceiving and I would have never booked this place.
We booked a non smoking room and 5min into getting out stuff in the room it wreaked of marijuana. People drinking in the parking lot. We packed our stuff and left without even staying. Front desk and managers did NOTHING.
We felt unsafe with drug and alcohol use going on at the property and they could “move our room”. No, a refund is expected and I’ll will continue to fight for what is deserved.
Stay away!
