  This was the best hotel experience I’ve had in years and I’ve been traveling for 30 years. I’m prior military and also had to stay in hotels for work. I didn’t even notice they were renovating and that speaks volumes. The staff was friendly, courteous and just all around awesome. The breakfast was delicious and made like someone in your own home. I wish I could’ve stayed an extra day but we had to get back home. We came into town for the festival but had to stay in due to the weather. It was so quiet and I got the best night of rest. It was clean comfortable and in a great location. I can’t say enough great things about this place. My daughter is 7 and said she wanted to come back again. Which was so cute to me. Thank you for making our mini vacation awesome. You put the BEST in BEST WESTERN!

  The room was not clean, hair in the floor, ants in the room, towels smelled like mildew, and the bathroom had previous guests hair in the tub. Very disappointed.

  This is an older hotel, but has recently been renovated. Daytime and nighttime staff were all very friendly and helpful. Virginia in the kitchen had homemade cinnamon rolls, muffins and bread for breakfast along with bacon, sausage, real eggs and lots of other choices. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. There were so many wonderful things about our stay here, but my favorite was definitely that the exhaust fan in the bathroom actually sucked the warm air out during showers. One thing to note is that if you have trouble with stairs be sure to let them know when reserving your room, because there is not an elevator. They will however offer to carry your bags up the flight of stairs for you.

  We booked two nights at the Best Western in Manhattan, Kansas 11 months ago. When we arrived at 5pm, they explained that our room wasn't ready and we'd need to come back. It was graduation weekend, and we were in town to celebrate my daughter's college graduation. We left to go to dinner and when we got back they told us the room still wasn't ready at 10:30pm. When we pressed with additional questions, they told us that when you book through a third party, it's not guaranteed. But actually, they overbooked and were dishonest with us about there being a room for us. Finally, the front desk attendant asked us to leave. It was so crazy! We had no where to go in a small town where every hotel had been booked up for months because of graduation. And by the way, this hotel is gross, but it was the only one that had availability.

  If you want a skimpy, dirty experience look no further than the Best Western Manhattan Inn. Towels are so worn you can almost see through them. Same thing with the bedding. Blanket had a stain on it. Pillows are also worn and have lost their structure. Bathroom sink area had not been cleaned and at check in, we walked in to a dirty bathroom sink area. I asked for that area to be cleaned while I was out. I came back 6 hours later to my door not shut entirely. My personal belongings were in the room. Grateful nothing was taken & glad bathroom sink area had been cleaned. To add to this experience, we booked here because my parents had booked here. They had oversold the property and my parent’s didn’t get their room. My mom even called to tell them they would be arriving later in the evening. When my parents arrived at 10:30 pm, they were told they had no room. An attempt was made to find them another hotel to no success. My parents are in their 70’s. It’s a good thing my sister lives in town. I hope my parents will be refunded.
