  Location is great if working or playing in Geneseo. Old man with mustache working check-ins is a grumpy old racist who commented about “the chinks” that own the place (they’re Indian). They only play Fox News in lobby and breakfast area so right on brand with that. I should note that the young man who worked the front desk was very courteous and helpful. Noticed bed bug spray in housekeeping room - hopefully as a preventative since we checked our beds and found none. Drink dispenser dispensed warm juice - one way to hold down consumption. Breakfast offerings included the obligatory waffle maker, hot and cold cereal, standard Hotel powdered? scrambled eggs, sausage, white bread only, several types of bagels & cream cheese, individually bagged pastries, and a gallon jug of 2% milk (which I’d think would be a health code violation but I have seen in other hotel breakfast areas as well.) Hallways have a funny smell that they are trying to cover up with plug-in deodorize but our room smelled OK. If you’re doing a multiple night stay The codes for our room automatically changed at 9 AM requiring us to go back down to the front desk and get our cards re-coded. Hotel is right next-door to a Culver’s and a mid-priced Restaurant that’s not bad. There is a Walmart right across the street as well.

  I booked and paid through Expedia, I was never refunded my hold fee on my debit card and now ironically the phone number does not work to the hotel. I guess I’ll have to dispute the charges with my bank.

  Our experience at this hotel, under Ron’s ownership, was a mess. Upon check-in, I specifically confirmed multiple times with the staff that my small dog was allowed. I was told the pet fee was included—no issues. Fast forward one day, suddenly I’m told dogs aren’t allowed, and I was slapped with a $300 cleaning fee. After arguing, that magically dropped to $90—$30 a night—even though my dog was only there one night. Why am I being charged for extra nights? It felt like a random shake-down. To top it off, when we called for something as simple as toilet paper, the front desk said they didn’t know where housekeeping was. No walkie-talkies? No communication? Finally, the elevator license was visibly expired—definitely not a confidence booster. It felt like a poorly managed operation all around.
