  The rooms were great. Beautiful pool and hot tub area. The service people were wonderful. So helpful and polite. Definitely would stay here again hands down.

  We stayed at the Best Western Plus St. Simons for six nights. The location is excellent—close to the beach, restaurants, shops, and the pier—and the staff was generally friendly. Unfortunately, the hotel itself fell short in several areas. As a travel advisor, I pay close attention to cleanliness, maintenance, and guest experience because these are factors I consider when recommending properties to clients. The room did not feel properly cleaned upon arrival. We found food and trash on the floor, the bathtub was dirty with peeling paint, and both the towels and sheets had stains. Housekeeping is only provided upon request, and even after service, the room never felt thoroughly cleaned. We also experienced issues with our reservation at check-in, a shortage of clean towels during our stay, breakfast was decent even though several breakfast machines stopped working. The overall operation often felt disorganized and understaffed. For what we paid for 6 nights, I expected a higher standard of cleanliness and maintenance. The location is the main reason I’m giving two stars instead of one. With better upkeep and housekeeping, this property could be a much better option.

  The photos and reviews here looked so promising. Much to my disappointment, upon entering my room I realized I was misled. The room was old, dilapidated and smelled bad. The type of room where you don’t want to touch anything. There was dirt on the floor, rust on the fixtures, and the old wooden cabinet it the bathroom made everything smell musty. The towels and sheets were incredibly rough and there was a banging noise coming from the bathroom all night. The comforter on the bed was very thin as well and stains on the headboard. We also found multiple bugs in the room. When we went to breakfast in the morning, there were no forks for some reason, so enjoy eating your waffle or whatever with a spoon. Also, the hot tub was broken. For comparable price, you can find MUCH better hotels in the immediate area. After 1 night, we left. We absolutely were not going to stay here any longer and found a much better option elsewhere for the a cheaper price. It had been some time since I stayed at a Best Western and after this, I don’t think I’ll be visiting a Best Western again.

  I went there on a quickie weekend vacation and it was "FABULOUS" the staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Nice place to stay.

  The people at the best western was very nice and very polite at all times.
