  Spent 4 days at this establishment. Staff was very friendly and gave space when wanted. Room was nice and clean. View is amazing from the balcony. Couldn’t ask more out of a hotel.

  Unfortunately, a very disappointing experience. When we arrived, the toilet had visible urine stains and fecal residue left by the previous guest. I went to the front desk to report it, and the manager gave me Clorox wipes and asked me to clean it myself. Since it was late and I understood that housekeeping was off duty, I initially complied. However, the wipes quickly turned black, making it clear that the bathroom had not been properly cleaned at all. I went back to the front desk because the situation was much worse than I had initially realized. I explained that, regardless of the time, guests should not be expected to clean a room they are paying to stay in. What was most shocking was the manager’s response. She essentially told me that I couldn’t complain because the rate I was paying was relatively low. If the low rate is supposed to justify dirty and uncleaned rooms, then this should be clearly advertised to guests before booking. She also proceeded to tell me about all the hotel’s problems and explained that she couldn’t make up for everything the hotel was dealing with. That may be true, but those are internal problems and shouldn’t become the guest’s responsibility. I understand that things can occasionally go wrong, especially late at night when housekeeping may not be available. What I find unacceptable is being given cleaning wipes to deal with someone else’s bodily waste and then being told that I shouldn’t complain because I paid a lower rate. Very disappointing experience, particularly because the way the situation was handled by management was far more frustrating than the initial cleanliness issue.

  Overall, good hotel at a decent price, balcony overlooking the bay was fantastic and close proximity to downtown. The elevator smelled like a seasoned fisherman’s boxer shorts, but it’s all part of the experience. I would totally stay there again.

  Our experience at Best Western Plus Beach Resort was deeply disappointing and left us feeling completely misled. The room we were shown online was not the room we received upon arrival. Instead, we were told that if we wanted the room that had originally been advertised, we would have to pay an additional amount. After repeatedly expressing our concerns, the staff assured us that the issue had been resolved and that our rate had been adjusted accordingly. However, after we had already checked out and returned home, we discovered that additional charges had been processed on our account without our knowledge or presence, effectively reversing what we had been told. This experience left us feeling deceived and taken advantage of. The hotel staff members we interacted with were courteous and professional, but the way management handled this situation was unacceptable. Promises were made but not honored, and the lack of transparency regarding the charges seriously undermined our trust. My advice to future guests is simple: review every charge carefully, keep copies of all receipts, and verify your final bill before leaving. Based on our experience, I would urge others to be extremely cautious when staying at this property. We left feeling that the hotel failed to honor its commitments and did not treat its guests with the honesty and fairness they deserve.
