This location has recently changed management and it shows. Breakfasts are the same every time and not great. They added a parking fee as well as inflated the price of rooms. And to top it off they changed check in from 3 to 4pm. I come here for business monthly and am disappointed. All you get is the rehearsed, “Im so sorry and my sincerest apologies.” But still with a lot of very recently added costs.
We stayed here one night as we passed through the area. I thought this was a decent pick as one of the less expensive hotel options in Glenwood. The location was good - walking distance to the main restaurant areas and Glenwood Caverns. The rooms were clean and relatively modern. My main complaint about the rooms is that the lighting was super dim. Otherwise, this was a perfectly average room. The breakfast the next morning was somewhat of a comedic disaster. For whatever reason, they had almost no plate and utensil supplies. When we arrived, there were no large plates. There were small plates that were the size of a muffin. This meant people had to stack eggs and bacon in such a ridiculous way. There was no way anyone could eat the waffles because they were 4x bigger than the available plates. On top of that, the bowls ran out shortly after I opted for cereal. To compensate for this, they literally put out red solo cups in place of the bowls. I'm not sure what manager thinks this is fine - or couldn't make an emergency run to the local grocery store to cover up this embarrassment. It's not the worst thing in the world, but it just shows a lack of basic competency. If you choose to stay here, you will be fine, but it is far from the optimal hotel choice.

Had problem with key cards not unlocking doors. Apparently a common issue, had 2 redone and still wouldn't unlock.
After all of that they had "no solution" because their one mantinience guy cant come.
If you don't want to explore Glenwood and instead want to stay in your room the whole time so your family doesn't get locked out stay here.
We recently stayed at Best Western Antlers in Glenwood Springs. Overall, the rooms were very nice, clean, and comfortable. We also appreciated the playground area, which gave our kids a place to play and burn off some energy after traveling.
However, there were a few frustrations during our stay. We arrived after the advertised check-in time, but our room was not ready. Initially, staff couldn't provide any estimate for when it would be available. Since we had driven several hours from Denver with young children and were visiting from out of state, this was especially inconvenient. After requesting that they check with housekeeping, we were eventually given a timeframe.
The additional fees were also disappointing. Parking requires an extra charge on top of the room rate, and many of the activities advertised by the hotel come with separate fees as well. For example, bike rentals were $15 per hour, which felt expensive.
The pool area also could have been cleaner during our visit. Breakfast was also fairly basic and comparable to a standard hotel breakfast. Guests with dietary restrictions may find the options limited, as there were 0 dairy-free and limited sugar-free options.
That said, the room itself was clean and well-maintained, and the property offers some nice family-friendly amenities. With better communication regarding room readiness, more transparent pricing, improved pool maintenance, and a more accommodating breakfast selection, this would have been a much better experience.

Never so disappointed in the level of customer service. There was no power for several hours when we tried to check in, by the time we came back to the hotel there was still no power to go to sleep and use a CPAP machine. Its not a CPAC which the hotel stated in attached comment. We ended up having to check out due to a medical condition. The gentleman and the front said since I booked with Vrbo i would have to get a refund with them. They are asking for reimbursement from the hotel, their attached comment, is absolutely an uncalled for comment. You can't tell someone they can determine someone sleep. I was unaware that this is a not free country and the hotel can determine that its fine due to the power coming back on after we checked out. We had been up all day and needed to sleep. But that doesn't matter to them, they just want their money. Money hungry and unable to work with a customer is never ok in my book. Do not recommend this hotel what so ever!!!! I'm appalled with the level of concern and care for their patrons.
