  I'm a BW rewards member and try to rack up points/ stats as often as I can, so I usually stay here or the Tru by Hilton next door whenever I'm in town. I have t been to this BW for about half a year now, so I'm not sure if maybe it's under new management or short-staffed, but this stay was terrible. There is no noise control whatsoever, I am writing this at 4:22 a.m. Doors are constantly SLAMMING. I travel often and am used to hotel noises, but this is excessive by any standard. I've stayed in Motel 6's out of sheer desperation during fire/ snow season and those were better than this. I almost slipped & fell because the bathroom sink is somehow clogged AND leaking at the same time. Due to the leaking, I was forced to dry off the floor with the ONE TOWEL from the single set of towels I was given. The reservation was for two people. Two keys, but only one towel, one washcloth, one floor towel.. all of which were as soft as sandpaper. All of the exterior entry doors to the common areas don't work, so either the guests or staff have resorted to propping THE SECURITY DOOR wide open at all times. Other than the pleasant interaction at check in, this stay was an abject, unredeemable failure. Normally, I'm all about second chances, but there's too much to fix here.   Had a really good stay at the Best Western in Manteca. The hotel was clean, the room was comfortable, and the pool and gym were nice bonuses. Rajeev at the front desk was especially helpful and friendly, making check-in quick and easy. The location is great too—having Chick-fil-A right next door was super convenient. Overall, a clean, comfortable hotel with excellent customer service. I'd definitely stay here again.

  My father and I traveled from Arkansas to Manteca because my aunt (his sister) was being out on hospice. It was a very sensitive time for our family. When we arrived, we had to pay $30 to check in early, which I’ve never had to do at any other hotel. When we got to our room, it hadn’t been cleaned or aired out in who knows how long. It was filthy. There was black mold in the bathroom. I went to the lobby and spoke with a gentleman about the condition of the room. He said he would send someone over right away, no one came. We chose this hotel because of the location as it was close to the care facility and also my families homes. We spent over $700 for 4 nights, we had a dog with us so it was an extra $30 a night for her. The “pet area” if you can call it that had broken glass everywhere. Not to mention the needles in the parking lot and the less than desirable traffic of drug addicts constantly in the parking lot. I again, reached out to management, nothing. A few weeks later when things settled down, I reached out again for a final invoice. In reviewing the charges, they overcharged us for the dog. They were quick to refund it, but had I not double checked, they wouldn’t have. After several emails back and forth there was no resolution on the managements behalf. I will never stay here again, but will rather stay at motel 6. At least Pets are free and the rooms are clean. Very disappointed. If I could leave half a star I would.

  Update: My husband Cedric and I stayed here for one night checking in yesterday May 13th and originally had room 303 assigned. This was the problem room. When we alerted management, they assigned room 306 but it was full of cigarette smoke. Then they assigned us room 325. All 3 rooms had pink mildew stains on the shower curtains, mind you. But I appreciate management making the effort. The housekeeping supervisor should be doing their job and clearly they are not. Check your room entirely! I am extremely disappointed with the condition of this Best Western room. The bathroom was not clean or properly maintained. The sink drain was stuck shut, which made the sink basically unusable in a sanitary way because there was no way to let the water drain properly or avoid dirty splash back. The bathtub/shower drain was technically open, but it was clogged, so water did not drain as it should. The shower curtain was visibly dirty and had obvious pink mildew on it, which is unacceptable for any hotel room. The bathroom simply did not feel clean or safe to use. On top of that, the room was not properly stocked. We were only given one wash rag despite having two towels, which made the stay even more inconvenient. The most concerning issue was that the window had been left open before we entered the room. We checked in, left to get something to eat, and when we came back we realized the open window created a serious safety risk. Someone could have easily removed or pushed through the screen and accessed the room while we were gone. Between the unsanitary bathroom, clogged drains, dirty shower curtain, lack of basic towels/washcloths, and the open window/security issue, this room was not acceptable. I would not feel comfortable recommending this location unless management takes housekeeping, maintenance, and guest safety much more seriously.
