  The hotel was okay but it definitely didn't look as nice as it did in the photos online or on booking.com. The breakfast was delicious! The woman serving the breakfast was very nice too! The hotel wasn't quite what I expected. After a long day at the beach I went to go put our clothes in the washer and dryer and the washer worked fine but the dryer didn't. I ran it three times and it still didn't dry. The front desk was nice and gave me a refund. But after a long trip and being very tired I had to go to the laundromat to put the clothes in the dryer before driving back home for 3 hours. That wasn't too great.

  Really great place to stay, rooms are very clean and beds are comfortable. No weird smells ☺️

  Why are hotels built with no fans in the guest bathrooms? That's unrealistic and insulting. And at check-in, I explicitly requested a top (4th) floor room because, in our experience, the least noise-proof surfaces are the floors/ceilings, so when somebody in a room above walks, it is as though they are pounding their heels. We usually are in bed before 10, and it seems all-too-frequent that the people above us either check in late at night, or go out for the evening and return late. Either way, we have learned to request top-floor rooms. In this case, the staff explained that the 4th floor was under renovation, so we requested a 3rd-floor room. The hotel seemed to be barely half full, and we checked in plenty early, yet the staff declined our request. As expected, our evenings and our sleep were disturbed by the pounding going on overhead. On our next visit to Escondido, we are certain to stay elsewhere. It's never worth losing sleep over something so very preventable like careless room assignment.
