Overall its a great spot. Room was clean and breakfast was OK. For breakfast they had the usual for a Best Western. They had a jacuzzi outside. It was hot and refreshing. Just got to watch out for the wasps by the handicap machine that lowers a person into the jacuzzi. Looks like they are making a nest there.

Our family(2 adults and 2 kids) stayed there for two nights while visiting Lassen Volcanic National Park and the surrounding area. The location is very good: it is a small town, but it has everything you need.
The hotel service was excellent, with a good and balanced breakfast, clean, quiet, and spacious room with two queen beds, and daily housekeeping.
We loved staying there. Thank you!
I had a wonderful stay at Best Western in Chester. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome. A special thank you to Katina at the front desk, who was exceptionally friendly, professional, and helpful throughout my stay. Her warm attitude and excellent customer service made a great first impression.
The room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable. The mattress provided a great night’s sleep, and the pillows were excellent—soft, supportive, and very comfortable. It was one of the most relaxing hotel stays I’ve had in a long time.
The complimentary breakfast exceeded my expectations. There was a wide variety of options available, making it easy to find something for every taste. Everything was fresh, well-stocked, and a great way to start the day.
I also really enjoyed the hotel’s amenities. The Jacuzzi was perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring, and the barbecue area in the backyard was a wonderful bonus that added to the overall experience.
What truly stands out about this hotel is the friendliness of the entire staff. Everyone was welcoming, helpful, and genuinely interested in making guests feel comfortable.
I highly recommend Best Western Chester to anyone visiting the area and would gladly stay here again on a future trip.

Best Western Rose Quartz Inn was overall a pretty average stay for this type of hotel. Nothing terrible, nothing especially memorable, just one of those places that serves its purpose when you are passing through a small mountain town and mainly need a roof over your head, air conditioning, and a decent place to sleep.
The accommodations themselves were okay. The room was comfortable enough, and after long days on the road and exploring nature, honestly sometimes “slightly above camping” becomes a perfectly acceptable category of comfort.
Breakfast was fine and did exactly what hotel breakfasts are meant to do: provide caffeine, carbohydrates, and the emotional support necessary to start driving again. Nothing extraordinary, but perfectly adequate.
The front desk staff did not feel especially warm or welcoming overall. However, the rest of the staff was actually very friendly, especially Gwen, who truly deserves recognition. She went completely out of her way to help me with a post office issue without me even asking for assistance. That kind of unsolicited kindness really stands out when traveling. Later we happened to see her again at dinner, and she was just as warm and friendly there too. Kudos to Gwen for genuinely caring about guests.
The biggest issue for me was cleanliness in the bathroom. There appeared to be mold, or at the very least some questionable staining, around the shower curtain area and near the soap dispenser. It was noticeable enough that housekeeping and maintenance could definitely pay more attention to those details.
Overall, this hotel worked for what we needed during our stay in Chester. It is not luxurious, but in a small town with limited options, it provided a functional and reasonably comfortable stop along the journey.
