  Some places don’t need to be loud to leave an impression. Spent an hour in the lounge at Baur au Lac over tea and dessert while the rain settled softly outside over the lake. The atmosphere is what truly sets it apart — understated, calm and impossibly refined without ever feeling performative. There’s a quiet confidence to the space. Soft conversations, impeccable service, warm lighting and that distinctly old-world Zürich elegance that makes you instinctively slow down a little. The staff moved through the room with real grace and professionalism — attentive without intrusion, polished without stiffness. Even the attire added to the experience: beautifully tailored uniforms that felt perfectly aligned with the surroundings and the heritage of the hotel itself. The dessert and tea were excellent, but the experience was really about the feeling of the room — timeless, composed and restorative after a long day moving through the city. One of those rare hotel spaces that understands luxury is often about restraint rather than excess.

  The most delicious food I’ve had in Zurich! I was quite fortunate to come during Alba truffle season and enjoy some of their delicious alba truffle pasta, I also really loved the lobster bisque and langoustines they were impeccable! I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone coming to Zurich!

  Absolute best dinner option in Zurich - really love the dish and all the antipasti options. The service is always great. And having a drink at the bar prior is a good bonus. The ambiance is old fashioned which makes it cool and special. Quite packed all the time so make sure to make a reservation.

  Incredible dining experience at cozy Baurs. Zurich Veal, Calamari and dessert were all delicious. Service was 5-star. Will come back.
