  I understand requiring a purchase to use the restroom. Even with a child clearly in distress and needing the restroom urgently, the cashier wouldn't allow us to use the bathroom until AFTER we paid, even though we agreed to buy whatever they required. It's just not worth supporting a business that won't even extend common courtesy.

  I cannot believe how rude the two women working there were. Ordered our food to go and as my wife was adding cream and sugar to her coffee, they told us to “leave now”. I’d recommend going literally anywhere else.

  Cafe with lots of rules. They need to post them outside so that people don’t enter and get embarrassed by a rude host. While I respect the rules, it’s ridiculous the kind of rules they enforce here. If 4 people come in, they need you to order at least 4 drinks or 4 people worth food, if you want to share. You cannot order 2-3 items and share. Restroom use, only for dine in. Not for takeaway. The cafe was full of flies right at the counter. The host was just trying to get them away while attending people that come to pay. They hardly have any business. They don’t seem to care. Reviews show. Advice. Put a large board with your rules outside the cafe. You would save the trouble of turning away and being rude to people. Unless you enjoy being rude and feel superior for whatever reason.

  Very disappointing experience We chose this cafe for a family breakfast. Although almost everyone ordered a full meal and drinks, we were denied indoor seating simply because I only ordered food and skipped the drink for personal reasons. The blonde manager/hostess explained this policy with an incredibly rude and arrogant attitude. Turning away a family over a single drink order is completely unacceptable. Do not let this place ruin your beautiful Lauterbrunnen experience.

  This place has a lot of negative reviews, but I feel that some of them are not totally fair. Of course, staff should always be polite, but customers also need to respect local rules. There are signs on every table saying that outside food and drinks are not allowed, and yet I still see people completely ignoring this. I have been there twice, ordered coffee and some pastries, followed the rules, and everyone was polite to me. The coffee could be better, but other than that, I would come back.
