  I was so excited to take my family away for a night out especially since I have seen so many people post about this place. I spent $350 for our night which I honestly went with because this place “had it all”. I wouldn’t normally spend this much but my partner wanted to go. His birthday and Father’s Day were in the same weekend and I don’t normally do anything for him so I wanted to splurge. The pool area is really the only thing that met my expectations. It was convenient to be able to walk out the patio door to the pool too. But my gosh $350 for one night in a hotel… in London.. I thought the room would be much nicer. The mattress had a huge dip in it and I had to get out of bed 3 times in the night to fix the bed sheets that wouldn’t stay on the mattress. The carpet in room felt like it was damp.. throughout the whole room. The bathroom needed some serious upgrades with the shower peeling, toilet paper roll holders barely functioning. The air conditioner just seemed like it couldn’t keep up either. The space felt like it needed a good clean and upgrade. I wouldn’t complain soo much if I was paying a more reasonable price but honestly, this place is not at all what the online promoters make it seem.

  Horrible dog smell in room 169! Didnt receive any compensation and were only really given 10 more minutes past check out. The room itself is great. Its a suite and and its on the same level as the pool. However, anything made out of fabric material (like the curtains and couch) smelt like dog. You would get a whiff of this as soon as you entered. Its a shame that someone sneaked a dog in, but it is indicitive of the less than thorough cleaning job, or rather as they indicated, that it was in fact impossible to clean Its like we were handed the 'leftover' room because we were just there for a day. Beautiful hotel space otherwise. Staff was also nice otherwise. Just make sure have enough time to scope the space out befire settling on it, as the service only gies so far

  First off we were on motorcycles on June 14, 2026 and it was under severe flooding, potential tornados and we were in dangerous conditions. Too dangerous to drive. We ended up pulling in here where they allowed us to park our bikes under the overhang at the entrance and then proceeded to fill our cooler to the brim with ice. The hot tub was a dream and the pool was lovely. We found our rooms to be clean and spacious and we really appreciated that they were able to accommodate us short notice with an early check in so we could dry off. Would stay again. Update: the more I thought about it, the more I wanted to add. We had a great meal at Shellie’s restaurant for both dinner and breakfast and the waitresses both times were top notch. They “got” our particular brand of humour. A robot delivered our dinner alongside the waitress, what a hoot. I had a carafe of coffee delivered to the room the next morning, very professional and fast and $8. Bathroom sink was in a separate space, making it easy for people who share rooms. Stand up shower with seat with a separate bathtub. We loved it. Again, we will likely be back.

  We stayed at the Lamplighter Inn this week as a family of four and enjoyed most of our stay. The pool was definitely the biggest hit. The kids absolutely loved it! We also really appreciated having a lifeguard on duty during the busy times. The gentleman working while we were there was great and kept a close eye on the pool, which gave us a lot of peace of mind. The only thing I found disappointing was the room layout. We booked a one-bedroom suite, which wasn't cheap. Since the rooms were renovated, there’s no longer a door separating the bedroom area. For us, that took away a lot of the privacy you'd expect when booking a one-bedroom suite. With four people sharing the room, it made taking turns getting changed a bit awkward, especially with only the small bathroom available. If we would have known this at booking, we wouldn't have paid extra for this room. There was a wedding at the hotel on Saturday, and I was surprised by how little noise we heard. Our room opened right onto the area where they were celebrating, but the soundproofing was impressive and it didn't affect us at all. Overall, we had a good stay. The pool was a huge highlight for our family, and the staff did a great job.
