  I had a great stay at the Sands! Front desk team were very helpful, very central location and great food at The Park Pub & Bayside Lounge connected to the hotel!

  Really enjoyed the pub at the Best Western Plus. The food was absolutely great had a juicy, delicious hamburger with fries and a cold beer, and everything was excellent. They also have a huge 75-inch TV, which makes it a fantastic place to sit back, have a good meal and watch a game. Great atmosphere, great food, and a very enjoyable experience. Definitely recommend it!

  Great place to stay near lots of great shops, Stanley Park, beaches and restaurants. Staff are amazingly friendly and helpful too.

  This is the only place in Vancouver where I’d ever stay! They were able to accommodate my request for an early check in. My room had a partial view of the ocean/beach. Nothing beats this location. It is within walkjng distance of English Bay Beach and Stanley Park. The 5, 6 and 23 buses all stop right by the hotel so there is easy access to the Pacific Centre, the Vancouver Bus Terminus (Pacific Station) and other areas.

  The rooms are okay. Your average BW. They seem to have been recently renovated. I wouldn't opt for the balcony room as it's small and hard to access (you have to basically climb out the window). Plus there is really no view. There is no in-room safe so don't believe any search info that says otherwise (BW usually doesn't have them so was surprised when search said they do). Their BW website does specifically say there are safe deposit boxes available at front desk but we were told they do not have those either. We tried to check in early (knowing a room might not be ready) and we're told "it shouldn't be too long" and "sure, we can call you when the room is ready". I wouldn't normally complain about not being able to check in early except they gave the impression it would be possible. If it's not likely, I'd rather they said it's unlikely instead of giving us the wrong impression (I had caught a cold on a cruise and was not feeling well so getting in early would really have been helpful). Plus, we never got a call when the room was actually ready. The elevators are very old and Jerry so just be aware. On the plus side, it's a good location for walkable access to Stanley Park and great food options all over (including breakfast because there is no free breakfast at this BW). Overall, an okay option. We will likely try a different hotel as we love Vancouver and will be back.
