Hi there, recently stayed at this hotel for two days with my family, and it was an excellent experience. The vibe is warm and welcoming, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. What truly stood out, though, was the security. I travel frequently for business between Montreal and Vancouver, and I’ve stayed at many hotels in both cities as well as Abbotsford. This was my first time here, recommended by a friend, and I was genuinely impressed. When I asked at the front desk, they confirmed security is on-site 24 hours a day, with guards patrolling every hour. As someone who travels with a truck and trailer carrying important equipment, feeling safe was my top priority—and this hotel delivered. I even stopped one of the security guards to thank him for doing a great job, and he kindly helped with our luggage with a warm smile. The breakfast was also very good, and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. In today’s world, security matters most, and this hotel made me feel completely at ease. I highly recommend it.
Travelling across Canada and this location provides a more affordable accomodations within 1 hour of Vancouver. Downtown locations were double the price. Hotel staff were very friendly, and the property is clean and well appointed.
The staff is very kind and helpful. The lobby is beautiful.
Pros:
Staff very kind
Easy to find location
Rooms look updated
One bed was soft and comfortable
Pillows were nice
Lots of parking
Cons:
Blood spots on sheets
Fly in coffee at breakfast
Second bed was lumpy and hard
Pool.is very very small and in completely desperate building
Lots of sirens

This hotel is a joke, make you pay with a credit card, we have one but don't like to use it so shouldn't be forced to pay with it what bs, what happened to paying with your debit or cash, last I heard cash is still currency. Plus our room was not the cleanest, couldn't use the plug in on the lampshade. Room smelt weird and it was noisy. Just for everyone else's knowledge, their are 2 building and the pool, hot tub, main desk are in one building and the breakfast is in the other building. Nowhere on the website does it say it is separate. These hotels need to have Celiac safe breakfast also but knowing most don't we always have our own food. Anyway I will not be staying here again.

Update: The manager called me. Looks like there was a system issue where my early messages could not be seen. There has been a big miscommunication between the property, Expedia, and me. Given the circumstances they are helping make things right.
At this point, I actually think Expedia’s support structure caused the issue here. More and more I am leaning towards direct booking with properties vs. aggregators like Expedia.
Very impressed with how the team is responding and owning the situation. I rescind my 1 star review and have changed it to 5. I would recommend this property after how they have responded. Also, they do have rooms that accommodate pets.
Thank you to the Best Western team! Greatly appreciated!
Below: my initial review based on a challenging situation. Has been remedied by the team as per the above.
Booked a room and didn’t realize they don’t allow pets. We had a big travel day and were exhausted and were trying to book accommodations for our return (travelling with 2 kids and a dog). Not much inventory was available and I didn’t check if the property allowed dogs, my bad.
Messaged them multiple days before the stay and never heard from them. Denied a refund request. No communication and no attempt to remedy the situation. Manager wouldn’t even talk to me. Will not be staying a Best Western going forward. Hope the 1 nights revenue was worth it.
Booked with the Sheraton in Surrey, which was fantastic. Would highly recommend booking the Sheraton over the Best Western. Hope the property considers better training for their staff, even if this is the end decision you want to make.. At least have the decency to talk to me.
