The hotel was located right across to the Target Center, 5-10 mins walk to decent bars and restaurants with good food. Six mins walk to the Hen House Eatery for brunch. Closed to the Spoonbridge and art garden park , the Minneapolis Queen River cruise, and all of the stadiums. Convenient drop off space. The reception/lobby is modern, clean, and the staff is super friendly and accommodating. The room has everything we needed and the friendly staff accommodated a couple of our requests. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you need to stay in the Minneapolis downtown. Thank you The Lofton Hotel for making our stay so comfortable and pleasant!

So, this hotel is a true 4-star hotel. Even after an incident with my room. The hotel staff did everything they could to make it right! Will definitely be staying here again!!
When we are in Minneapolis for business we always stay at the Lofton. Yesterday, when I checked out, I mistakenly left my passport, money and expensive headphones in the safe. A few hours later I got an email from Katherine Tillman,
Director of Front Office. One of her staff had retrieved them and they were being kept safe in Katherine’s office for me to pick up.
I was leaving the next day for a family vacation overseas and losing other things would have been bad. But losing my passport would have been disastrous.
Everything was returned. Safe and sound. Not a dollar missing.
The Lofton is always our preferred hotel. It’s clean, quiet, upscale and friendly. But this was in my opinion above and beyond honesty and service.
Well done team, Katherine and The Lofton!
Ali, made our stay exceptional. He was welcoming, professional, and always ready to help with a smile. His excellent customer service and attention to detail truly made a difference. Thank you, Ali, for your kindness and outstanding hospitality. We highly recommend this hotel because of staff members like you
i stayed in room 2017, which was listed as "King Bed Whirlpool Tub". I didn't care so much about the tub, nor the view, I just wanted distance from the elevators and this was the best available choice. At least on floor 20 the xx08 through xx13 are closest to the elevators. 2000-2002 and 2017-2020 seemed furthest. there is music playing in a speaker near the elevators. it's not excessively loud but you can hear it faintly from your room. on the 20th floor i heard minimal street noise.
the hotel is literally across the street from the stadium so if that proximity matters - it's a good choice. very close to lots of dining and entertainment options. the immediate area was safe and clean (like the whole city).
the room was clean and semi-modern - not updated super recently best i could see but not old and falling apart. overhead rainfall shower and whirlpool tub. typical keurig and mini/bar fridge setup, both seemed functional. iron and ironing board kind of dirty - but serviceable in a pinch. the linens were clean and decent but not luxury class by any means. perfectly fine in any case.
i am a hilton member and used the app so i didn't interact with the staff except for one purchase at the desk where they have soft drinks and snacks. it was perfectly pleasant.
the 4th floor restaurant was closed for reservations so i have no comment there but i did grab a pastry and coffee at the cafe on the first floor and it was fine.
overall i'd say 3.5 - which is above average. not a luxury stay but clean and quiet is very ideal for me. proximity to stadium and downtown are convenient. i was able to walk to north loop for dining in about 15 minutes. this would be a nice affordable option for someone attending a game or on business travel. no major negatives as far as i'm concerned. i'd recommend it for the purposes noted.
