  I really wanted to like Rise but even Spectrum is unfortunately more reliable than this service. Rise has not come out to bury their cable for almost two years now, constantly cancelling the appointments days after making them. The gigabit internet service and value is GREAT... when it works. We are always measuring, monitoring, and automatically recording their connectivity and service via our own network traffic system. And it has been truly awful to say the least, multiple outages a week, sometimes a day. As someone who both works and games from home, this is unacceptable. I have to cancel with them at this point and go with some other provider. I unfortunately cannot recommend Rise as a service. I was hoping to see them improve over time and give them the benefit of the doubt which is why I continued to stay with them for awhile, but they have clearly shown no signs or willingness to improve and be a competitor to the also not-so-great but more reliable giants like Spectrum.

  Rise Broadband sold us 1.2 Gbps download and upload speeds, which is the service we agreed to purchase. When their technician arrived, he told us the salesperson did not understand what he was selling and that the best we could realistically expect was approximately 200 Mbps—nowhere close to the 1.2 Gbps we were promised. Nothing was installed because the service could not be delivered as represented. We canceled the installation, yet Rise is refusing to refund our money. Rise Broadband sold us a service they could not deliver and is refusing to refund our money. DO NOT USE RISE BROADBAND.

  DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! The service does not work at all u have to install a big tall eyesore of a antenna and wiring in the walls of ur home all to not get much of a signal..they won't let u cancel only to put u on hold for hrs at a time I called to cancel 3 to 4 times a wk they will transfer u then hang up on u..the absolute worst customer service...I should have looked at the reviews b4 I let them drill holes in my walls.

  This company is BS. I called to set up service because it's one of very few who service this area and was told no problem, someone can come out the very next day and set us up! They will have to install a small receiver on the roof. When the tech got to my home, he spent about ten minutes walking around outside and told us he will have to install a fifty foot pole and have cables and tethers accross out driveway and around our house. Well. That's not what we wanted or were told initially, so I called to cancel. They WOULD NOT even offer me a partial refund unless I tried the service for thirty days....which again would mean we had to install this fifty foot pole with a bunch of cables....which is why I decided to not use the service to begin with. So 111.00 dollars later for absolutely nothing. I did promise to join the many others and leave them a bad review....to which the lady said, "yeah, we get that a lot, you're free to do whatever you like.". So I am. Trust and believe these crappy reviews are relevant. They did absolutely nothing and think they are entitled to keep my money because I don't want a fifty foot pole they decided they would have to install after I already paid thinking it was a small receiver on the roof like I was told initially. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THERE IS A REASON YOU HAVEN'T HEARD OF THEM. And it's because they suck. I wish I had read the reviews first. I would have reconsidered. Infinite thumbs down. I see the rise owner replying to so many of these negative comments like they care. Yet it seems nobody has come back to say they received any money back or any sort of satisfactory resolution. If my company had this many negative reviews for many of the same reasons, I think I'd probably try harder to manage my company policies and procedures to be more accommodating and less sketchy instead of posting empty apologies and a bogus ass email in response. I hope this company goes under and the owner loses all the ill gotten earnings this company makes scamming people.

  Do not recommend. The internet service is mediocre. The customer service is poor. The website forces you to make a new password every 6 months. Plus I just canceled and they told me 1) there’s a $50 “restocking fee,” 2) the technicians will come by sometime in the next 30 days(!) to pick up the outdoor equipment and if it’s not in perfect working order they’ll charge me several hundred dollars, 3) there’s no refund for the remaining days in the billing cycle.
