Authorized an 80 dollar payment, Rise took double out of my credit card and I had no meds for a month. How can you be in business where you can't be trusted? There is no possible way this was a mistake, it was a calculated theft. No apologies, no explanation, just laughter, they got theirs didn't they, that's ok.
I would give these people zero stars if I could. They are unresponsive and their service is AWFUL. We have been without internet most or all of six days in the last month. They say everytime it is "the tower" but in a month, have done nothing to fix the problem. The service used to be good but it has become unreliable. Save your money and find a different provider.

I would strongly advise staying away from Rise Internet. My experience was a disaster from start to finish, plagued by a total lack of communication and unprofessional service. It began with a Friday installation appointment where the technician showed up two hours late (at 4:30 PM), a time when I could no longer be home. We rescheduled for Monday, and while that technician actually arrived, he was surprisingly honest--telling me that a neighboring house was blocking the signal tower. He admitted their service wouldn't be as reliable as my current provider and literally advised me to stay with who I already had. I took his advice and declined the service. To my shock, Rise still charged me a $126.00 installation fee for a service that was never installed! When I contacted them, they flatly refused to refund the money. The disconnect between their sales team, who promised great service, and their technicians is massive. Save yourself the headache and the money--do not go with this company.
I cancelled per their terms and conditions by giving 30 day's notice at the end of my contract. Their accountant refused to acknowledge my cancellation and continued to send me bills, even after emailing to dispute the charges. He then sent my account to a debt collector, so now I am dealing with that. I have already filed a complaint against Rise with the FCC. I would strongly suggest you use literally any alternative provider.
Rise Broadband, marketed as fiber when I installed as a customer fraudulently advertised this as fiber optic service but this is false so to market a service as fiber optic for the rate of 97 dollars per month for 250mbps is unacceptable and scammer behavior. Additionally, they will not refund payments made in advance (no contract signed ) on top of the fact that you will wait approximately 1 hour to get a live person to speak with. This is service I received as a 3 year customer who made sure I paid my bills ahead of time . Do NOT enroll in Rise.
