Avoid this service if you can, this is going to be long but worth the read. We subscribed to nextlink service when they took over in the Lampasas Area. They were very quick to come out and get us set up and running. There were a few bumps in the road due to our location, but with a simple $100 bill to the install tech he was somehow able to get it operating properly. That was my choice, but I felt it was needed due to the conversation we had. This leads to my next point, I dont know that I recall actually meeting any techs that were happy to work there, seems as though they deal with problems outside of their control pretty regularly. Some time goes on and we have the occasional outage, to be expected with line of sight. The wait to get someone to either call back or answer the phone....... That's where the problems start. I dont know that I was ever able to get a human on the line within 30 minutes. Then, when you get them on the phone or they call you back, it seems as though the tech support agent is always new as they seem to have to put you on hold once again to find out what steps they need to take next. I am actually currently on hold and have been for 12 minutes and 2 seconds and counting. It will likely be quite some time as the nice lady just informed me that they are experiencing longer than normal hold times and she apologizes. Honestly guys, its not longer than normal, its normal. I didnt tell her that as it is likely not her fault but the fault of a large corporation watching their bottom line more than their customer feedback. So, one night our service goes out during a rain storm, not a thunder storm, not a severe storm, a rain storm. Thats cool, give it a while and it will come back on. Well this time it didnt. So after about an hour I made the phone call, knowing I was gonna wait. 2 hours later I get a call back, by this time I am asleep but they called back so I will take the call. Again with the tech support issue and not being able to get me back online. We ran through the course that he was clearly reading on a screen. So, the next morning I go to Home Depot and pick up a starlink kit, the monthly service is about $20 less for more than double the service. I get home install it in less than 10 minutes and I am up and running. I call Nextlink to cancel my service and notify them that I found the problem while installing my Starlink. The lightning flash arrestor that was installed and the bottom of my 50 ft tower was installed upside down so the water was able to intrude and caused it to short. They apologized and agreed to send a tech to disconnect. The nice lady did tell me that they are bleeding customers to Starlink. I see why. I let them know that the tower was 50ft tall so to ensure they send either the correct tech or a bucket truck. The tech arrives, he is not the right tech, as he notified me that he needed to have another tech present to climb or have a bucket truck and that there was no other tech available. They rescheduled. Sent another tech same issue. Keep in mind, not only did I tell them the circumstances but so did these techs. Now were are up to this week, they send a third tech, same problem, lone tech no bucket truck. MEANWHILE, I am paying for this service until they get their equipment back. Seems kinda fishy to me. Oh, Savannah just let me know that they are so busy that I can no longer wait on hold and that she also can no longer transfer me. I am going to have to wait on a call back. Again, this is the norm. If nothing else, they are consistent, their customer service is always terrible.

Not even a customer but they will happily walk through your yard instead of the actual customer and knock over your rocks for your garden to use as a bump stop for there ladders and happily leave without picking them up or fixing the holes created. Already have to pick up there wire scraps each time they visit the neighboring customer. Can't lift more than 5 pounds due to a spinal injury so thanks again.
