    I had a highly frustrating and disappointing experience at the Astound Broadband office in Belton. I arrived at 4:45 PM—well within their posted 9 AM to 6 PM hours—and pulled on the front door. It didn't budge, so I naturally assumed the office was locked. Thinking they might have closed early, I tried calling the local number posted on the door, as well as the 1-800 number listed on Google Maps. Both numbers routed me to an automated bot. After asking if I was a new customer or wanting to pay a bill, the system automatically hung up on me. This happened more than five times. I went back to the door and looked deeply through the tinted glass. I realized two female employees were sitting inside. They had been watching me struggle with the door and the phone the entire time. I was literally the only car in the parking lot, yet neither of them extended the basic courtesy to step outside for two seconds to let me know the store was open. I finally pulled on the door much harder (it was just jammed and clicked as if it was locked). As soon as I walked in, one of the employees just looked at me and unhelpfully stated, “The door was open the whole time.” I replied, “Well, I didn’t know that.” Usually, in my experience Central Texas has provided great customer service, but the staff here clearly suffer from serious morale issues and a total lack of care for their customers. My recommendations to local management for a fix: 1. Please Adjust the front door. Fix the jam so it opens smoothly and customers don’t think you are completely locked up during business hours. 2. Re-Train your staff. Teach them basic customer service and proactive courtesy. If a customer is struggling at the door, stepping outside to assist them is the bare minimum. Maybe it was just these 2 employees were having a bad day or were injured and couldn’t get up to let me know that the door was slightly stuck… Save yourself the headache and handle your business online if you can, because the in-person customer care at this location is practically nonexistent.

    I chose Astound to be my cable provider when I relocated to Texas and moved into my new house. I was pleased they could provide service immediately. The technician the sent to my house was very personable and professional. He quickly installed my equipment and explained how everything worked. He was very thorough and answered all of my questions. I am so pleased I chose Astound and look forward to a wonderful future with them.

    Excellent customer service and prompt response. They came out to repair my broken cable after it was damaged during digging. I called it in yesterday evening and it was repaired this morning.
