  (Not a comment about this store) Former cox, for as long as they existed in RI. EASY to deal with, simple to fix problems wuth anything. I have self installed at least a dozen times in my life, at that many heling others do their own. I moved 2 wks ago. Called to transfer service. I'll sum it up with 14 calls, multiple "handoffs", no real attempt to solve my connection problem (only a tech $$), yada yada. Turning in the modem today. SO DONE with Spectrum.

  I purchased coxs services for 5 days before I got to know my landlord has free internet services. Then I disconnected the service and returned all my equipment. They got a $50.00 deposit at the time of purchase. When I disconnected the service they mentioned that they will credit that amount to my account which I didn’t receive until today, I had to dispute the charge from my credit card account. Now I receive emails and text messages telling I have an outstanding bill to pay. I only used the service for 5 days and I have to pay $35.00 dollars. I am not going to do that payment. I highly recommend this service if you want to get stressed and frustrated about a service you never received at the first place.

  The Cox lady helped us get our bill down to a somewhat more manageable amount and helped my son get set up in his rental.

  Most of these stores you need to go in or call the toll free number. My Wi-Fi was slowing down, because my kids are home for the summer, and want to download everything. My wife and I went in to SC Commons store, and received a new modem/router and two Contour boxes for $25 less per month than we were paying. Joe helped us at the store and gave us some discounts that we didn't know were available. Then you call the numbers they provide. One number was for the modem/router hookup. That hookup allowed me to get rid of my separate airport express router. My connection is much cleaner and faster now. The Contour was a separate number, with a different specialist. I was hooked up and ready to go with both in about 40 minutes. Stop trying to call the store. They are sales people, not technical specialists. Call the toll free numbers they give you and you will have no problem.
