How a willing, or not willing to help associate can make a huge difference, for good and for bad. I would never get service from you guys with the kind of help your associate try to push on me in this location! Not nice at all!!!

The wait time was awful. Not that it was busy, but you could see employees in the back chatting and not helping with the wait. What made me more agitated was seeing a customer who signed in after I did receive their service. Terrible experience

Come back Cox all is forgiven !
After approximately 20 years with Cox, this experience with Spectrum has left such a bad taste in my mouth that I am now looking at other providers.
I visited the Spectrum/Cox store, where Tony from Spectrum CA and another representative offered me a Spectrum promotion that would reduce my internet bill from $60 to $40 a month and include a free phone line. They couldn’t proceed because I didn’t have my second phone number with me, so I went home, collected my second phone, and returned.
Before I left to get it, Tony told me I would be in for a “nice surprise.” He wasn’t kidding about the surprise—but there was nothing nice about discovering that I would have to pay several hundred dollars upfront to switch to the promoted plan.
Only after I returned and spent more time on the process did the other representative ask, “Did they not tell you?” No, they hadn’t. When I questioned the upfront payment, I was simply told that Spectrum charges in advance, Cox doesn’t, and that this was “the Spectrum way.” Nobody provided an itemized breakdown explaining why several hundred dollars were required.
I declined and said I wanted to keep my existing service. I was then told that if I changed anything—my phone, my SIM, or anything else—I would have to move from Cox to Spectrum and pay anyway. That left me feeling pressured rather than informed.
To me, being offered a lower monthly bill and a free phone line, only to discover a substantial upfront payment after making an extra trip, felt like a bait and switch. If advance payment is required, explain the full amount and what it covers BEFORE asking a customer to go home, retrieve another phone, and return.
After roughly two decades as a customer, I am now planning to speak with T-Mobile, Verizon, AT&T, and Costco about alternatives, and check whether Google Fiber is available in my neighbourhood.
My advice to other customers: get the complete offer in writing, including every upfront charge, how long the promotional price lasts, and what you will pay afterward. The way this offer was presented has cost them my trust.

Horrible experience. I called Cox because I have equipment that isn’t working properly. I called their customer service number and have now been transferred four different times. This is easily the most disorganized business I’ve dealt with this year.
After spending over an hour on the phone, I still couldn’t get a straightforward solution. Instead of addressing my repeated request to replace the faulty modem with working equipment, they kept trying to upsell me to a more expensive internet plan.
Every time I brought the conversation back to replacing the bad equipment, they seemed hesitant to address it and went right back to trying to sell me something more expensive.
I’m already paying for a service that should work with the equipment provided. I shouldn’t have to spend this much time on the phone, get transferred four times, and repeatedly decline upgrades just to get faulty equipment replaced.
0/5 stars if I could. The whole experience felt borderline scammy because of how aggressively they kept trying to upsell me instead of simply fixing the equipment problem I originally called about.

I visited the Cox store on W. Sahara yesterday because I needed to activate a new phone. My prior phone drowned when I fell into the pool. Asia was the most amazingly patient, professional and perserverant customer service rep I've ever had to work with. She spent an hour trying to get my new unlocked Samsung phone to connect with Cox mobile. We determined the phone was defective. I had been without a phone for 4 days and was very unhappy. Asia was able to get me a new phone through promotion because Cox was merging with Spetrum. I left a very happy camper. I highly recommend this Cox store for their excellent customer service. I have to revise my review to 3 stars because when I got home and looked at my Cox portal I saw something that made me mad. A $7 monthly insurance protection plan had been added to my account. This was made without any disclosure or notice to me. $7 per mo. to protect a $200 phone is ridiculous. Especially since it was done without my knowledge.
