I bowl on a Thursday night league at this place. Visited this place 2 times this week. Last Thursday our league night was canceled due to the snow. Our team decided to go anyway and bowl.
Issue 1. One of our bowlers card wouldn’t scan and they said they couldn’t find the person in the system either. Funny how she has been bowling for years and had just used her card 2 weeks before. The General manager there at that moment said he couldn’t do anything about it, so she didn’t get to bowl. How can a manager not be allowed to do whatever he needs to do to make a customer happy. He said he couldn’t do anything. BS. After being asked how many games we were going to bowl, we said probably 3. We bowled our 2 free games, then started our 3rd game. On the 7th frame of the 3rd game, they shut the lane off. We were told that we had to prepay for how many games we were gonna bowl and start over. We simply asked why they shut it off in the middle of our game and it was followed up with an attitude from the General Manager. One of our crew was asking for the head manager, well how to contact the head manager, and was saying to the General manager how it wasn’t right that he didn’t have the authority to do whatever needed to provide great customer service. He then became very disrespectful with my sister. I made sure I told him how disrespectful he was also!! More emails to follow on that day.
Now let’s move on to today, Saturday. We met there at 1pm to bowl a few games. 3 of us prepaid for 3 games, we waited 30 mins for a lane. We asked for a lane where the lights were on. We were there to practice, not bowl where we can’t see the arrows on the lane. At approximately 3pm, in the middle of our game, the lights get turned off. I asked why they got turned off and he told me they were on a timer. Why do all the lights need to be turned off at 3pm? Makes no sense. This place makes so much money from the bowling leagues and yet it seems like the league bowlers get shit on. It really sucks that this is the only bowling alley close to the area I’m in, because I would happily boycott this place. Some of the worst customer service I have ever received from any business, if you get lucky enough to get a server to come to your table 1 time you’re lucky. They have no problem coming back to bring you your tab though. I don’t normally write reviews but felt like this one needed to be done. 100% worst experiences and customer service I’ve experienced in a LONG time!!!

My family and I visited Bowlero Fredericksburg late last week while we were in the area and decided to do some unscheduled bowling. I called ahead to make sure lanes were available, and the woman I spoke with on the phone was very kind, honest, and professional. She answered all of my questions regarding pricing, lane availability, and whether food was available. Based on reviews, this location also seemed better rated than Penny Lanes (the former Splitsville near the mall), which helped us decide to come here.
When we arrived, we were greeted by the same woman I had spoken to on the phone. She went over pricing again, helped us get the correct shoe sizes for everyone, and opened a tab for us in case we wanted to bowl more than one game. She then assigned us a lane. Once we got to the lane, it took a bit longer than expected for it to activate. Some families near us were able to start sooner, but we were busy getting the kids settled and ready, so the wait wasn’t a huge concern.
Once the lane was up and running, we ordered food from the counter. We got pizza, a pitcher of soda, and funnel cake fries with chocolate sauce. All of the food was genuinely good. The pizza and the fries was well-cooked, fresh, and nothing tasted off or poorly made. Teaching our kids how to bowl for the first time was a lot of fun, and we ended up staying quite a while. Charging by the game instead of by the hour worked out well for us, especially with kids.
Despite the overall positive experience, there were a few issues worth mentioning.
First, the bathroom situation was... interesting. Although our lane wasn’t particularly close to the bathrooms, there was a strong septic-like odor that carried all the way to where we were sitting. It became much stronger inside the bathrooms themselves, but even from a distance, it was consistently noticeable and off-putting.
Second, customer service among the staff was very inconsistent. The woman who helped us initially (the woman I spoke to on the phone, at check-in, and with our food orders) was excellent throughout our visit and set a very high standard. Unfortunately, the rest of the staff did not reflect that same standard.
When our food was dropped off, I asked the gentleman who brought it over if he could also take the empty plates we already had on the table. He told me he would put his tray down and come right back. He never returned and instead stayed at the front desk chatting with his coworkers. I wouldn’t have minded clearing the plates myself, but he could have at least told me where to take them. It wasn’t a great interaction.
The third issue came when one of the bowling balls the kids threw got stuck in the middle of the lane. I walked up to the front desk to ask for help. There were at least five staff members standing there, but none acknowledged me or asked if I needed help. Two of them (including the same gentleman mentioned earlier) walked away as soon as I approached. My wife eventually flagged down the woman who had been helping us, and she immediately took care of the issue. The lack of support at the front desk was frustrating.
The final issue was pricing clarity. We initially believed the cost was around $11 per game, with individual shoe rentals, which seemed very reasonable. However, it turned out to be $11 per person, per game, which significantly increased the total. This wasn’t communicated clearly enough beforehand, as we believed it was. We were also surprised that our kids (all under 12) were charged full adult pricing. I haven’t gone bowling in over 15 years, so the overall cost was a bit shocking.
Overall, I’d rate this location a solid 3/5. The lanes themselves were good (though there were no automatic bumpers/guard rails), the food was decent and modestly priced, and we genuinely had a great time as a family. However, customer service consistency is a major issue when only one staff member upheld a good standard, and the bathroom odor should be checked out. That said, we’d still be willing to come back in the future and give this place another try.
