- MGMichael GJun 14, 20261.0We came into the store yesterday afternoon to buy some yeti gifts. I have a trained ADA service dog that has been with me for five years. Extremely well behaved and we’re minding our own business looking at the yeti. My dog is sitting patiently next to me while my wife and I discussed what to buy and a male employee comes up and interrupts us and loudly says “what is your Dog tasked with”? Now, I understand a business has a right to ask this, but I’ve only had it asked one time in five years because my dog is well behaved. Usually, this type of invasive questioning is asked when a dog is not behaving. So I started to tell him because my dog is trained to perform tasks related to my disability and then I just thought you know what, I’m gonna take my business elsewhere. I don’t feel like dealing with this today. It’s been a long week and there’s absolutely no reason for this. Like I said, I understand you have a right to ask, but you should be diligent with when to come up and startle somebody and loudly ask them that question in a rude manner. there’s a way better way to handle it. Again if a dog is misbehaving go for it. If it’s not let it be, we have a right to be in there. Yes you have a right to ask, but there’s a better way to do it. I am a long time customer for REI not sure I’ll continue.

Affordable and ready when they said it would be ready. Now I can get back to the roads knowing my bike is in good health.
