Let me start this by saying that I gave Meadowcreek every opportunity to respond appropriately via feedback form and in person, and they did not. Langdon in particular, rolled his eyes, scoffed, and patently dismissed me at every opportunity; thereby not allowing me to explain my concern, let alone have it dealt with appropriately. Ultimately, I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Meadow Creek Golf Course. If I could give it 0 stars, I absolutely would.
This was not just a frustrating customer service issue. The way I was treated was rude, inappropriate, disrespectful, and, in my view, discriminatory.
Here is what happened: we relied on the phone number listed on Meadow Creek’s website and were given information by someone connected to the course that led us to believe our group arrangement was fine. So, for the second time, when we arrived in person, it was not fine and the information we were given was incorrect. If the website number is wrong, Meadow Creek should fix it. If someone on their end gave us incorrect information, the professional response would have been a simple apology and a reasonable effort to make it right. Instead, we were berated and told that we don’t know the rules of golf, though we have played at this course and others may times. We were made to feel unwelcome, belittled, and othered.
The staff response was hostile and demeaning. Langdon was rude to me on two separate occasions, both last weekend and again today. Al and George were also extremely rude, even though I made every effort to cooperate. What made it worse was that they repeatedly directed their attention to my fiancé—who is white while I am not—while dismissing me, speaking over me, and ignoring me when I was trying to explain what had happened. As a customer, that treatment was unacceptable. I left feeling singled out and deeply uncomfortable.
What should have been handled with basic professionalism turned into an experience that felt intimidating and humiliating. No customer should be made to feel that way.
If you want an experience that is joyful, if you want to have fun, if you do not want to deal with disrespect or treatment that feels racist, and if you expect even a basic sense of customer service, you should not come here.
