  Me and my friends have been going to Lucky Strike/Bowlero for the past 2 years, usually a couple times a week and almost every day during the summer with the summer passes. It’s honestly so clutch having a bowling spot in Charlottesville. The staff is always really nice and it’s a great place to hang out with friends. Definitely recommend getting the summer passes and giving it a try when you’re bored or looking for something to do. Even if you don’t really like bowling, it’s still a fun place to hang out with your friends!

  Overpriced and not even really a great bowling experience. It's the only gig in town, so they know they can get away with it. If I didn't have the all-you-can-bowl summer pass, I wouldn't come. I've spent hours there at this point, so I feel fairly qualified to give an overview: - The lanes are often not well-oiled, and about 40-50% of my games have had errors/issues with either the machines or the scoring. Not fun for league play or even casual competition. - The venue is too warm. - Each lane's seating area is too close/open to adjacent lanes, which is especially annoying when kids are running rampant. I almost saw a 5 year old take a 10 lb ball to the ankle. - There's garbage free TV (Chive or w/e) playing distractingly behind the lanes and pins...the music videos are good though. - Service is mediocre at best. You're often waiting for someone either at the desk or as a server or at the bar. - Alcohol is extremely expensive, so not a place to have a few beers. The beer prices are NOT on the menu, but a bottle of Corona is $8.00 - The arcade is decent, but a bit pricey. Half price Wednesday makes it worth it. - We honestly haven't even tried the food...the buffalo wings and chocolate chip cookies smell good, at the least. But I've heard the pizza is not amazing. It's just another place on the long list of venues that have been bought by private equity and ruined, instead of having an enjoyable local business establishment. Also, strangely, Bowlero decided they're rebranding as Lucky Strike, most well-known as a cigarette brand. Very family friendly 🙄 In short: I would consider going if you get an unlimited bowling pass of some sort and are going to spend a couple hours there at least. I wouldn't buy food or alcohol, but the arcade might be worth it.

  Lanes were not in good working order. We were moved from a malfunctioning lane but the lane we were moved to was soooo slow with long pauses after each bowler. Also warm inside and the bathroom floor had no paper towels and drips all over the floor. Only one hand blow dryer worked. Also $7.95 a game for that??? Also don’t book lanes in advance online if you have your own shoes. No way to not pay for rental shoes.
