  Great class and structure. My son has taken other forms of martial arts, but we’ve stuck with Baxter Karate the longest. Baxter Shihan makes it feel like he’s really working towards something!

  I signed my two young sons up for karate, and it has been great. As a parent, you’re always looking for an activity that balances physical energy with mental discipline, and this dojo hits the mark perfectly. Even though they are in the same class, the instructors are great at recognizing their different strengths. One is gaining more coordination, while the other is letting out his energy. If you’re looking for a way to help your kids build strength, discipline, and self-esteem (while having a blast), I can't recommend these classes enough

  I have been taking kickboxing classes at Baxter Karate Dojo for the last seven years and highly recommend them. Each instructor is very qualified. The classes are challenging and the staff has supported me throughout my journey. I intend to continue taking the kickboxing indefinitely.

  My son has been coming here for 3 years and has had a great time learning from Shihan Baxter. The techniques and discipline that are being taught at this dojo have been remarkable to watch. Wonderful instructors!

  Shihan Baxter is an exceptional instructor—very understanding of parents’ concerns, patient with the children, yet appropriately strict when discipline is needed. His teaching reflects both care and high standards. By all indications, he was top of his league in his prime, and he continues to be highly respected in the karate community for his deep knowledge and impressive past achievements as a karate athlete.
