- NBNancy Sosna BohmAug 6, 20263.0The employees helping customers find items are terrific. The employees at the registers are barely trained, so buyer beware! They make mistakes regularly. If they make a mistake at the register, the supervisors do not want to correct it, but prefer to either ignore it for someone else to deal with later, or else accuse the customer of being responsible for the mistake, and even threatening to not reimburse for returned items. The second time this happened, I realized it's part of their regular practice. It's a shame, because they do have good products I would like to purchase, but I'm now afraid to deal with them. I may try items on in the store and then order them from REI.com, where they are able to sort out even a cascading series of errors made in the store.
