  They have half a dozen locations across NYC, and this one is convenient since we spent our weekend around the Times Square area. Online booking was straight forward, and we were able to reserve a same day slot. The facility is located in the basement, accessible by elevator. There are 14 simulator bays, each equipped with comfortable lounge seating, and complimentary loaner golf clubs are available to use. There is a nice bar and menu where you can order drinks and food. Service at arrival could have been smoother. The front desk staff took my name and told us we would be taken care of, but then walked upstairs, leaving us waiting until five minutes past our reservation time before we had to flag down another employee. Since then, though, the help was great. We were onboarded through the setup and suggested a par-3 course that was a good fit for our first visit and level. We were able to finish two rounds in about half an hour and had a great time. A quick tip for first-timers: if you hit into a hazard, you can use the touchscreen monitor to replay from the previous spot instead of burning time and strokes trying to hit out. Overall, it was a fun session, but there was one billing hiccup which soured our otherwise excellent experience. Although our discount code applied correctly during online booking, our card was later billed for the full regular amount after we left. It took two phone calls to customer service to get it sorted out. A solid simulator experience, but perhaps you want to keep an eye on your final receipt.

  A fun place to take a lunch break. Staff were really helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. We will go back for some more practice!

  Way too loud of an environment for golf. If you are about working on your game this is counterintuitive to focus and improvement. That said, having fun and enjoying your friends in a convenient place is a must. This place has that in spades. Unfortunately my visit was for the former and did not benefit me the way I intended when spending that much money to hit some golf balls.

  What an amazing experience at 5 Iron in New York! They hosted my company's corporate event, and it was an absolute blast. The staff was welcoming, everything was well organized, and the simulators made for a fun, competitive atmosphere. Whether you're an experienced golfer or have never picked up a club, it's a great place to spend time with friends or coworkers. Highly recommend!
