  For any person that is just starting their journey in golf like myself I highly recommend Steve Chung. He is the real deal! I’m brand new to golf, and he’s made the learning process so much easier than I expected. He breaks everything down in a way that actually clicks, and after just a few lessons I already feel more confident stepping onto the course. I’ve learned more with Steve in a short time than I thought possible starting from scratch. Highly recommend him to anyone beginning their golf journey!

  Been practicing here and taking lessons with Steve Chung for the past 6 months. He is the master of coaching and teaching golf. I came back to the game after a long hiatus and now have been consistently shooting lower scores and getting consistency in my game. His approach keeps it fun and athletic rather than just technical and theory. Highly recommend working with Steve Chung. Also the Herald Square Five Iron location is great and the staff and vibe is friendly and welcoming.

  I started golfing in 2023 and Steve Chung is by far the best golf instructor I’ve ever had. Steve started working with me in 2025 and helped me improve significantly. He analyzes every swing and dissects exactly what I can do to improve the swing and has drills for everything. He also resumes lessons exactly where previous ones left off and uses all the tools available at five iron to correct bad habits and issues in swing mechanics. He is also very patient and personable and the lessons are very enjoyable. I highly recommend five iron and Steve Chung in particular if you want to really improve your game.

  Steve Chung lessons at Flatiron location - highly recommend! Have had a swing evaluation and a follow up lesson with Steve so far but will be back. He’s a great communicator and has made some great adjustments to my swing that have made an immediate impact, in addition to giving me things to work on to improve further over time. The changes felt uncomfortable at first, but now feel natural and are helping a ton. Plus he’s a great guy!

  This facility is their best in the City IMO. I went with a couple of work dudes from Philly and Texas in what was a chill session of mastering the lamb shank washed down with swing oil. Friendly staff as always. Quality of the clubs excellent and they’ve been so at 5iron for as long as I can remember - going back 10 years. They have plus lengths for taller players. Would go every other day if the hourly rates were from the Web.com era. Super hot Summer in NY these days and the AC was little over chill, but we hacks don’t stretch or warm up and more importantly it keeps the suds cold.
