- LJLance JordanJun 23, 20262.0Nice atmosphere, but bowling here is only for non-serious bowlers. If you hook at all, only bring your spare ball or you'll struggle to keep it on the lane. And they use the dreaded string pins (good for hacks only because the ball returns and pinsetters are more reliable)! Food choices are better than AMF Babylon, but no refills on drinks with summer pass. Also they charge higher for the "league rate" discount. I won't bowl there again because it's impossible to have a meaningful practice session there. Noobs and shoe renters only! Stay away if you bowl league.

Back then you could walk in, get a normal bowling lane, grab an easy pitcher of beer, and actually enjoy a relaxed night out. Those days seem long gone. Now the entire place feels geared almost exclusively toward kids and parties. They only keep the black lights on, which might be fun for children for a while, but not everyone wants to bowl in a dark neon environment the entire time. As a parent myself, I completely understand wanting a family-friendly atmosphere, and I'm all for it. But this place has 20+ lanes across both sides of the building. Why not dedicate some lanes to traditional bowling with regular lighting? Getting a server was nearly impossible, and the drink situation was equally frustrating. The pitchers are absurdly overpriced and the overall experience just feels like style over substance. If you live in Melville and want a more traditional bowling experience, you're basically driving to Syosset or Farmingdale now. It's unfortunate because this place has so much potential, but it feels like it's operating way below what it could be.
