I came here to bowl last year. So sorry if this review is late lol. But it was a lot of fun. The guy at the front had no issues with our summer premium passes. It was great fun! will be here again this year monday to get our passes for the 2026 season! Thank you!

My friends and I came here on a Tuesday night, and for context, we are all over 21. When I went to order a drink, my ID was examined by three different staff members for about five minutes. They even went as far as pulling out a pamphlet on how to spot a fake ID and still couldn’t determine anything wrong with it—because it is, in fact, real. Despite that, a manager came over and bluntly told me, “We don’t accept vertical IDs—go get a new one.” The way this was handled felt unnecessarily rude and dismissive, especially considering it happened in front of a line of people. It was honestly embarrassing. What made the situation even more frustrating was that my friend, who had a valid horizontal ID, was also refused service. They claimed she might “third-party” the drink, which felt like an unfair assumption and completely unwarranted. Overall, the experience felt more humiliating than anything else. We came out to enjoy our night, but instead were met with poor communication, disrespect, and baseless accusations. Definitely not the kind of environment I would want to return to.

I am perplexed by the fact that individuals are placed in management positions without adequate training to fulfill their responsibilities. My recent experience at this location was extremely disappointing, marking the third negative incident within the past month and a half. As a league bowler, I expect to be assigned to properly maintained lanes, especially when there are open lanes that have already been oiled. However, I was informed that lanes were intentionally not being assigned because the staff intended to close early. This explanation is unacceptable; if employees are more concerned with leaving early than providing quality service, perhaps they should reconsider their suitability for this role. Instead of being assigned to an open, well-lit lane, I was placed on a lane that was dark and in poor condition, despite the availability of better options. When I requested a refund and expressed my dissatisfaction, there was no effort made to resolve the issue. The manager simply refunded my money and, rather than attempting to address my concerns, made a comment—“we know how you roll”—which implied that reporting problems to management is frowned upon and those who do so are viewed as outsiders. This incident reflects a level of unprofessionalism that is unacceptable, especially from a manager representing AMG Garden City. I have been a patron at this center for over four years, and it is disappointing to see such a decline in customer service. If managers are not properly trained in customer service, AMF should seriously reconsider its business model. Selective treatment and profiling of customers is not only unfair, but it also undermines the integrity of the facility. Favoritism towards certain individuals while others are treated poorly is simply unacceptable. This marks the third complaint I have made about this facility, and I strongly urge management to reflect on these issues and take meaningful action. I recommend find a different location as this place is just going down day by day with no reflection on management trying to make things better This is an edited review - it’s funny how the wrote please send us your information to discuss and after sending them my information they did not care to respond or even follow up. It seems like management issues go all the way up to corporate.
