  Nice hotel location. I have stayed there under a different brand name and also for a conference on a different occasion. I think the location delivers on many fronts even though this is an older structure renovated until multiple ownerships.

  The only thing this place has going for it is the location, which is perfect. The rooms, even in the new tower need help. The sheets on the bed smelled like they stayed in the washer much too long - mildew like. Despite multiple requests, they will not turn down your room. I resorted to leaving the trash outside the room in hopes they would get the hint. The front desk is understaffed and frazzled; I get the feeling they're not used to a large quantity of people (we were in town for an athletic event).

  I am extremely disappointed with my recent stay at Golden Nugget Lake Tahoe. I specifically reserved and paid for two rooms with two queen beds. After a long and exhausting drive, we arrived expecting the accommodations we had booked. However, upon check-in, we were given rooms with only a single bed. The hotel failed to inform us in advance that our reserved room type was unavailable. What made the experience even worse was the poor customer service. When I raised the issue with the front desk, instead of offering a solution or trying to accommodate us, I was told that I could simply find another hotel. I found this response very disrespectful and unprofessional, especially considering we had a confirmed reservation and had already paid the required fees. The lack of communication, failure to honor reservations, and dismissive attitude toward guests reflect poor management and customer service. Guests should not be charged for a specific room type and then be provided with something completely different upon arrival. I expected much better from Golden Nugget Lake Tahoe. Unfortunately, this was one of the most frustrating hotel experiences I’ve had, and I would not recommend this property based on how this situation was handled.

  Rooms are nice but 4 of the outlets near the bed didnt work. If you want to check in early and your room is ready you have to pay $45.00. Very slow check in and when we asked the staff at the front desk if they had an iron in the room she said "no, there's no where in the hotel where you can get an iron". Well they actually do have them in the room. I just wasn't very impressed.

  Paid almost 4K to stay here. Called the number that popped up on their Google search which led me to a call center that apparently ended up leading me through the process of purchasing through Expedia. If I wanted to buy thru a 3rd party I would have done that. Anyway I showed up with my party of 10 3 months after booking and they didn’t have a room for me and I had to get reservation somewhere else on the night of for 10 people. Inexcusable.
