🔥🔥 Millions From Gambling Aren’t Enough? Now Golden Nugget Profits Off Disabled Families Too? 🔥🔥 We are a family with two children with disabilities, and I’m shocked by how Golden Nugget handled such a simple and honest mistake. While we were already staying at the hotel, I booked one additional night online but accidentally selected the wrong date. I noticed it within 5–7 minutes and immediately went to the front desk. They told me they couldn’t change it and instructed me to call reservations. I called immediately. After being transferred, I was told the reservation would be canceled and my money would be refunded. Nobody warned me about any cancellation penalty. ❗ My emails prove that less than one hour passed between the booking confirmation and cancellation confirmation. We never used the room and received absolutely no service for that reservation. Now Golden Nugget refuses to return the remaining money, citing a 72-hour cancellation policy — even though the reservation itself was made less than 24 hours before arrival. It was literally impossible to cancel it 72 hours in advance. 🤯 For a casino resort making millions, keeping hundreds of dollars from a family with two disabled children over an honest mistake reported within minutes is simply shameful. 😡 I have the emails and confirmations to document everything above. ⚠️ We didn’t ask for special treatment. We asked for basic fairness. ⚠️

I felt like I was staying at a motel and for $250 a night I expected a nice experience. Terrible customer service, nobody answers the front desk phone, we asked for pillows to be brought up that were never brought up, it was honestly just a shockingly bad stay at this hotel. I regret coming for my birthday.

The hotel is pleasant, but still working the renovation kinks out. We arrived to a beeping smoke detector needing a battery in our room. The a/c kept turning itself on even when I turned it off manually, blowing cold air on me all night. Don't get a room near an elevator shaft - the wind moans through it all night. Casino rewards are very small ($2 for me) on a promo spin, and payouts are average to low. Front desk staff were excellent. It's an easy 5 minute walk to Stateline, and spending time in South Lake Tahoe. I would say it has strong potential once it finishes renovations and remodeling.

Renovated to perfection! Do not believe all the negative reviews. Most of those reviews are older from when this used to be the Hard Rock or are just from people who have to have something to complain about 24/7. The beautiful Golden Nugget in South Lake Tahoe/Stateline has been updated and absolutely shimmers! From check-in to check-out our stay was incredible. Our room in the Sunset Tower was freshly remodeled, clean as a whistle, comfortable, and QUIET! The restaurants (we visited 3) had delicious offerings and quality service. The casino floor was dazzling and fun, with ample slots and table games to choose from. On top of all of this is the location: Right in the mix of the Stateline area, walking distance to dozens of places, and on the Tahoe side of the street. We will not hesitate to come back to this fabulous property at South Lake Tahoe.

Our experience at Golden Nugget was extremely disappointing from reservation through checkout. When I called, I specifically asked if our suite had a sofa sleeper and was told it did not. It actually did. We also paid extra for early check-in because we had an event that day. When we arrived at 11 a.m., we were told no rooms were available and given no accommodation or solution. A supervisor was dismissive and told us it would likely be closer to 4 p.m. before we could check in. We later saw other guests checking in, but received no notification. When I called the front desk, I was hung up on twice. At check-in, I discovered the early check-in fee had NOT been removed. I had to specifically ask for it to be taken off, despite never receiving the service. Our suite was then placed directly above the construction area and next to the construction elevator. Given everything that had happened, it was extremely disappointing and I had to wonder if it was intentional by the front desk? We also never received our included food-and-beverage credit. At checkout, I was initially told there was nothing they could do. Only after pressing the issue was the resort credit and parking fee removed. The suite itself was beautiful, and construction noise quieted around 5 p.m. Saturday. Unfortunately, the repeated lack of communication, dismissive service, and having to fight for benefits we paid for made this a terrible overall experience.
