  Mixed review, 1st time at the Golden Nugget: Positive - very pet-friendly & as we travel with our 2 small dogs, that was nice. The pet rooms open up to an open courtyard where our fur babies can take care of business...very convenient. Negative - at check in I asked about a luggage dolly as we had several bags, since we travel with our dogs. Receptionist stated there's a luggage cart at the valet. While attempting to retrieve the cart, the valet stopped me stating the cart is ONLY for valets. We already parked in the garage & I wasn't about to pull our car out of the garage, drive it up to the front of the hotel, just so the "valet" can load our bags onto HIS cart & then repark the car. NOT very customer oriented regarding that. After my 3rd trip of lugging our bags to the room I decided we will never stay here again.

  It is the prettiest casino on the river I will give it that. Enterance is great as always. The casino floor still nice and easy to get through. The rooms need to be renovated again. Not sure why every single one is humid either, that's the biggest complaint I've heard and it can't just be the river doing it. The other casinos on the water do not have that issue. Please please please redo the restrooms on th4 casino floor, no matter how much your team cleans them they smell disgusting. And the gaps between the stalls.... I shouldn't be able to see the person across from me relieving themselves. I would recommend going for the restaurants and to play but not to stat unfortunately.

  This place stinks, we book for a three night stay we left after one night! The room was filthy there was blood on the sheets, the dam night light by the bed was broken and leaning over! Over by the filthy windows ! Lots of spiderwebs. We went downstairs to the Casino to play blackjack and they only had one table open! when we asked if we could get a table here so our friends and us could play the manager told us we own we have one dealer! what a joke the place is a dump. I’ll never go back there again. 6-27-2026!

  AVOID this place! Talk about going downhill! I live nearby and over the last 2 years this place has gotten progressively worse. I just stormed out, having gambled for a couple hours and not 1 time was I asked if I wanted a beverage, not once! The floor staff has morphed into grumpy hags who look like they don't want to be there. Not to mention they have the tightest slots/machines in laughlin. They don't deserve our business!

  The AC was weak, the promises were weaker, but at least the staff was nice! ​ ​If you’ve ever wanted to know what it feels like to sleep inside a slow cooker on the "warm" setting, the Golden Nugget has you covered. ​I called ahead before booking specifically to ask if they had $5 table games. The voice on the phone gave me a confident, enthusiastic "Yes!"—a beautiful lie that sustained my hope all the way to Laughlin. But alas, upon arrival, those mythical $5 tables were nowhere to be found. I'm convinced they exist in the same realm as Bigfoot and affordable gas. ​To complement the lack of cheap gambling, the room's air conditioning decided to operate on a strict "vibes only" basis. It made a lot of promising noises, but actually cooling the room to a comfortable temperature apparently wasn't in its job description. ​The property itself is incredibly worn down and practically begging for a refurbish. Walking through the halls feels a bit like a time-travel experiment where you land squarely in 1994, and not in the cool, nostalgic way. ​The one bright side? The staff. Seriously, the team here is incredibly helpful and genuinely friendly. They deserve a medal—or at least a building with better climate control and accurate table limits. ​Come for the friendly service, but bring a portable fan and a larger bankroll.
